Who Is Teresa A. Pash?
 
Teresa A. Pash, of Pash Performance (Motto:"Where the Music Flows"), is a piano teacher and performer residing in Nashville, Michigan. She is originally from Hastings, Michigan [daughter of Norma V. (Hammond) Earl and the late Patrick J. Gilmore (Gilmore's Jewelers)].
She was classically trained with 10 years of private study under Freddy Kruko-Kietzmann and received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, WA) in 1986 with studies in performance (4 years) as well as pedagogy. She became a certified Kindermusik® Instructor in 2004 and later studied jazz performance under Arlene McDaniel with MSU's Community Music School.
 
Teresa has taught piano for 30+ years and is a long-time member (since 1991) and current President of the Battle Creek Area Music Teachers Association (BCAMTA). She has served as President on 2 different occasions for a total of 10+ years, as well as other positions, including: SAT Chair, Vice President, Secretary, Correspondence Secretary, Public Relations, etc. She was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2017.
 
On her Pash Performance YouTube channel she has created training videos on piano technique to further extend her teaching beyond the classroom. She created an animated Children's video ("The Adventures of Clef & Note: Intro. to Manuscript") to teach students Manuscript reading/writing in a format that is relevant to today's generation of learners. She has also directed/coached many bands and performed in various ensemble groups, including the Thornapple Jazz Orchestra.
 
She has produced three Jewel-case CDs: "Remember When..." (2007), "Hymns of the Heart" (2003), and "Christmas Memories" (2001) as well as numerous accompaniment tracks. CDBaby and other online stores carry her product line digitally, as well.
 
She has yearly performed for Davenport University & Baker College Commencements at VanAndel arena with crowds up to 15,00 people. She also performed with the Blue Water Rising band on EightWest PBS TV and on the WGVU Morning Show with Shelley Irwin. She has been a featured artist on "Hearts and Voices" through local TV Access Vision and is often found sharing her music with the community in solo as well as theatre productions where she has also been a musical director of children's productions.
 
She is a founding and active member of the Nashville Business District (Established in 2015) in Nashville, MI. Currently she performs at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids, the Nashville Baptist church, and the Nashville United Methodist church in Nashville, MI. Several of her students have become musical directors, piano teachers, and active musicians in their churches and community, as well.
 
Her artistic style has a broad range of expressions, however, she specializes in 20's - 40's vintage music.
