Anola
Green Bio:
Anola Green is a five piece rock band consisting of Nick Gibbs on guitar and vocals, Evan Blackmore on bass, Cody Senour on drums, Braden Snider on percussion, and Patrick Lehr on guitar. The band has actually only played a few recent shows under the name Anola Green. Before these gigs, Nick, Cody, Patrick, and their former bass player formed the band Somewhere Out of Blue. After their bass player quit, Evan, who had been running sound, took over bass duties. This move was soon followed by the addition of Braden on percussion. All five band members attended Tri West High School in Lizton, about 30 miles west of Indianapolis. Learning their respective instruments while in high school during the mid 90’s, all the members were influenced by groups like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Metallica, and Guns ‘N’ Roses. Moving in their separate musical directions after high school, each member has developed interests in different musical genres that include blues, jazz, country, rap, and progressive rock. Everyone, especially Nick, has been writing their own material since they were teenagers. An Anola Green set contains a half and half mixture of originals and covers. Anola Green covers songs by such artists as Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Jane’s Addiction, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Mathews Band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Led Zeppelin.
