The Government was so desperate after their main witness, Gale Simmons, recanted her testimony (which was scripted and which she only gave under threats of continued imprisonment) that they allowed me to leave the country although I was still under indictment for 1st Degree Murder. No one, to my knowledge and certainly no Black man, has ever been allowed to leave the jail, the neighborhood, or the city let alone the country, after being charged with the murder of a white policeman and with a trial pending. I have been extradited-kidnapped from two different continents on these bogus charges. In 1968 I was brought back to the US from Viet Nam to ultimately face the Murder charges and of course in 1982 from Germany. After the court order below was issued I was free to come and go as I pleased. Just a scant 4 months prior to this Court Order I had been extradited from Germany after serving 5 months in extradition arrest, with bond denied because the German Government felt that I might flee prosecution. If anything can point to the bankrupt nature of their charges against me then this train of events should suffice. The conduct and criminality of the Prosecution and the Courts, in my case, is unparalelled and without precedent in the annals of US Jurisprudence. With a great deal of Hoopla it was proclaimed that the government had Ògotten their manÓ and that this case, after so many years, finally would go to trial. How wrong they were.
