My hobby is gardening. I especially love
daylilies. My first interest in daylilies started when my
young daughter and I found an AHS display garden in my area. We
used to visit all the time and bought daylilies. My daughter
loved Little Grapette but the hybridizer said it was too new and
could not part with it at that time. We continued to visit
her and buy from her. She gave us a lot of useful information
and one day she surprised my daughter with Little Grapette. We
were hooked!!!
Over the past few years I have joined www.gardenweb.com,
an informative internet site. I have made wonderful new
gardening friends and have learned a lot from the forums at the
site. I have also been trading plants with many of the members.
I now have over 400 registered daylilies along with hosta,
heuchera, iris and other perennials.
I am a member of the AHS and have joined LIDS
my local chapter here on Long Island. I still continue to visit
display gardens, buy and collect daylilies and other plants.
In
friendship's fragrant garden,
There are flowers of every hue.
Each with its own fair beauty
And its gift of joy for you
