Here is an example of poetry that I recently completed.

The air was cool and crisp. The smell of death was in the air. I remember my mom trying CPR, but saying that you are gone to far. I see your eyes never closing, and your body ever moving. I remember the dirt being dug up, and seeing my best friend being put in the ground for all eternity.

I remember you said you loved me, why did you lie? I remember you said you had no money for presents, but you just got a new house and car. I remember you walking out on us, and never coming back. And I remember the moment when my love for you snapped, and my world came tumbling down.
