Welcome to my home page.
This is the home page of Monique LaCour. I am a student at Northwestern State University. A very non-traditional student. I'm not an undergrad, as I have a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast. But not a grad student either. I'm in limbo right now just trying to take classes and raise my undergrad GPA in hopes of one day obtaining my master's degree in who knows what. When I entered college I was single and free, by the time I left I was a wife and mother and Broadcast Journalist didn't quite fit anymore. So I, like so many others who have graduated from colleges and universities around the world have a degree that I'm not using.
Being a Natchitoches native I like so many before me had hopes and dreams of getting out of this small town and only coming back for births, deaths and holidays. Well I got out alright, and once I got out, like so many before me (including my parents) I could only think about running back home. I'm not going out and hand out "I Natchitoches" stickers, but its not as bad as it once seemed to be. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that on my journey back home, I back a single mom, which I wouldn't change for the world. See my ***FUN PAGE***
My goal is to continue in my current job and work towards obtaining a master's degree in either counseling or education. Once I obtain my master's degree I plan on transferring to another state agency. In the words of Forest Gump, "That's all I got to say about that."
