A vision there was on a Sunday
Dazzling bright and perfect in its hope
The chance it offered to be truth
And how I yearned for it
Cleaved to it as to my own breath
In accents of love and aspiration
And now you have come
I hold a page in my hand purporting
To come from you
Is it? Can it be?
My cynical heart fears to believe
But I know it matters not
You, or one close to you,
Has sent this thing to me
And its impact is undeniable
I am elevated, enervated
Restored to faith
And raised to perfection
I will find you, my love
I will somehow bring the rest of my
Sunday vision to a reality
I have faith in us
