All Music Guide A giant library of very good bio- and dicographies
of many (read: thousands) musicians around the world. Every name I've mentioned here is in there. This is the
most detailed and best informed site I've ever seen. It also gives you a list of related performers and other good
stuff with each musician.
Live365 a website that includes more than 30,000
small radio stations, mostlyl run by ordinary people wanting to share their love for music. There you can find
any kind of music including lots of Brazilian music. A fantastic thing!
AllBrazilianMusic Has both, a Portuguese and
an English version. This site includes also lots of disco- and biographies, but also descriptions of many music
styles of Brazil, lists of realted artists,Brazilian music news, and lots of musical examples that you can listen to
very easily.
Brazzil a virtual version of an amazing magazine. Brazzil is
meant for a non-brazilian interested in Brazil (in English); it includes politics news, feature articles on important
people, articles introducing Brazilian culture and so on. You can also order it on paper (in U.S. it's only a few
dollars for a whole year).
Radio Terra this website works only in Portuguese, but
if you understand at least a little bit, you will fall in love with it. In Radio Terra you can listen to hundreds
(probably even thousands) of complete albums for free without having to buy them. Very nice of them! :-)
MPB in Portuguese only. Includes lots of music news,
several nice radio stations, lots of bio- and discographies and other stuff like that. It deals with many music
styles, but it's speciality is MPB and stuff related to it.
