"PERFORMERS FOR CHRIST" We offer baton twirling with a touch of dance, cheer, and gymnastics! MISSION STATEMENT To create a positive, loving environment where all ages will become aware of their enormous potential, allowing them to receive the best education by not allowing them to be held back, enabling them to receive the training that allows that God-given talent to be discovered, explored, and enjoyed! Karizma Member Policies ABSENCES Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class, and the studio cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one student. Every child is asked to attend every practice. Practices are important and lack of attending can also result in a students setback. Absences will not be deducted from monthly fees. Make-up classes can be arranged when someone is available at the desk. CLOTHING All students are required to wear leotards to practice. No sandles are permitted! No child will be allowed to practice with jeans. Leotards may be purchased from the studio, or from any where else. Hair must be pulled away from the face, no jewelry is allowed. PARENTAL VIEWING Parents are asked to remain in the lobby while classes are in session. Every other month we offer parent watch week. This is the time you will be invited into class to see your child =s efforts and accomplishments. These will be posted on the message board, and in newsletters.MUSIC AND COSTUME SELECTIONS NONE OF OUR SELECTIONS ARE DISTASTEFUL FOR CHILDREN! We pride ourselves in picking age appropriate and tasteful music and costume selections. We use all types of music, pop, old time favorites, Christian, and speciality. None of our costumes are revealing, for any age performer. We consider the size of students in our class, and pick costumes that will look the most appealing on all our performers! PERFORMANCES Parades - Throughout the year, Karizma participates in local parades that all students are invited to perform in. Medals are handed out to those students marching, after every parade. There will be an end of the year party in August and special awards will be given to those students attending the most parades.Spring Recital - A Tentative Date of May 4th is set for a Recital of the entire student body to display a culmination of their artistic achievements. The recital will be a rewarding experience which gives the performer an opportunity to showcase her talents to friends, family, and acquire stage presence, poise and confidence. FUND RAISERS You are not obligated to participate in any fund raiser. We have a fund-raising committee, and their goal is to raise enough money so that those that participate do not have to pay for anything this year! Ask our secretary about information concerning any upcoming fund raisers. CANCELLATIONS If in event of extreme bad wether and we need to cancel practice, please listen to T-102, Froggy93, or 92 Zoo. We do not cancel classes just because school did. |
