Three Loaves of Bread
November 12, 2008

Luke 11:5-6
5"Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; 6for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him';"

Ever wonder what these three loaves might be?

Isn't it interesting that this parable follows the Lord's prayer --

Give us each day our daily bread. --Lk 11:3

What is this daily bread???

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. --Deut 8:3

A hunger to 'feed' on manna, the bread rained down from heaven, the bread of life, the word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Ex 16:4;Jn 6:25-59

What comes from 'feeding' on the word of God?

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. --Rom 10:17

Your faith and love have arisen because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel ... --Col 1:5

Faith, love, hope because of hearing the word of truth!

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. --1 Cor 13:13

The bread of faith?
The bread of hope?
The bread of love?
:)
Three loaves from hearing the word of Christ!

Luke 7-10
7"Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' 8I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Knock and the door will be opened to you!

Without faith it is impossible to please Him , for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. --Heb 11:6

Believe
Diligently seek the Lord
Incline your ear
He speaks and His sheep follow because they know His voice --Jn 10:4
Listen closely for His words
Keep them ever before you, in the midst of your heart
For they are life, to the body. --Prov 4:20-22
Bringing faith, hope and love to their hearers.

"TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS." --Heb 4:7

Among the Lilies
November 5, 2008

And the stately lilies stand
Fair in silvery light
Like saintly vestals, pale in prayer;
Their pure breath sanctifies the air,
As its fragrance fills the night. — Julia C.R. Dorr

Song 1:7
"Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where do you pasture your flock?
Where do you make it lie down at noon?"

The lover of my soul
His face turns; shines on the lilies.

My beloved is mine, and I am His; He pastures His flock among the lilies.
--Song 2:16

The lilies white, pure
-- without spot or wrinkle they stand in the light of His face
They stand thru the night midst songs of deliverance --Ps 32:7; 42:8
And the incense of fragrant prayer. --Ps 141:2
Fragrance, the aroma of life poured out --2 Cor 2:15
From a garden enclosed; a fountain sealed; a well of living waters
--Song 4:12,16

A strong perfume carried on the wind; fills the air.

"Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where
has your beloved turned, that we may seek Him with you?"

"My beloved has gone down to His garden, to the beds of spices, to
pasture His flock in the gardens and gather lilies."

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine." --Song 6:1-3

The lover of my soul
He has gone down to His garden
To the bed of fragrant spices
To pasture His flock and gather the lilies.

IT'S TIME TO GATHER THE LILIES.

Song 2:16-17
"My beloved is mine, and I am His; He pastures His flock among the
lilies."

"Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and
be like a gazelle or a young stag upon the mountains of Bether."

Song 2:2
"Like a lily among the thorns, so is my darling among the maidens."

Song 7:2(Lover to Beloved)
Your navel is a rounded goblet; It lacks no liquor(mixd wine). Your belly is
a heap of wheat encirlced about with lilies.

Where the lilies are gathered
In their midst - a heap of wheat!
A plentiful harvest capable of feeding many.

There is goblet with mixed wine, which is intoxicating,
Filled and used for joyous celebration
And rivers of living water!

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly will
flow rivers of living water. --Jn 7:38

What a beautiful picture among the lilies!
No wonder He pastures His flock among the lilies.

The lover of my soul
He has gone down to His garden
To the bed of fragrant spices
To pasture His flock and gather the lilies!

IT'S TIME TO GATHER THE LILIES.!!!!

Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who
promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up
love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is
the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as
you see the day drawing near
.

Consider the Lilies & Vision
November 3, 2008

Matthew 6:28, 33
See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin ...

Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness ...

Place all of your hope in the Lord, not in changing circumstances.

Do not look fear in the face and choose the Lord Instead look to the face of I AM, away from all fear.

Where there is no vision, the people perish ... --Prov 29:18

Have I not given you My vision? My promises?
Though it tarries, wait for it ...

Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged
Do not try to hasten the vision or promise in your own strength
TRUST inspite of how things appear
Surrender all to the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." --Jer 32:17

TRUST even though most often when in the middle of a storm -- it feels like you're falling or sinking. --Mark 14:30

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms... --Deut 33:27

He will lift you up
He will help you stand
He will set your feet on the rock; a firm place to stand. --Ps 40:3
He will refresh with apples of gold --Prov 25:11; Song 2:5
Apples of gold to refresh and aptly speak. --Prov 15:23; Isa 50:4

TRUST, LISTEN and WAIT, SPEAK

The righteous will live by their faith.

I AM
Watching over My word to perform it. --Jer 1:12

I AM
No eye has seen
No ear has heard
No mind has conceived
What is prepared for those who love Him --1 Cor 2:9
For those who wait for Him.

I AM
Day by day turn to me, seek my face
Wait on me

I AM
My grace is sufficient. --2 Cor 12:9

I AM
Come Beloved
Rest secure in me --Deut 33:12
I AM with you in all circumstances. --Mt 28:20

I AM
Faithful and True. --Rev 19:11

Habakkuk 2:3-4
For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. See, he is puffed up (proud); his desires are not upright - - he will faint from exhaustion; But the righteous will live by their faith.

Isaiah 64:4
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 30:18 AMP
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!

1 Thessalonians 5:24
Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
