1 John 5:1-5
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes [that conquers] the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God[who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?

Victorious faith, faith that conquers, the faith of the overcomer, born of God
Child like faith, trusts in, adheres to and relies on Jesus Christ the Son of God
This is the faith that overcomes the world.

Victorious faith born out of the perfect love of Jesus
Perfect love that drives out all fear
The faith of the overcomer lives in love, abiding with Jesus, being made complete
Praise the LORD! Nothing can separate from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Spreading everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus
The aroma of Christ

Notice that Paul does not teach to ask the Lord for strength. He says, "Be strong in the Lord." It is only when we have faith in God that we have strength. It's His mighty power that does the work.

So if it is the Lord who makes us holy and strong, what do we have to do?

Surrender all to Christ, trust and obey!

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

Esther 4:14

Esther 5:1
