Psalm 63:1-8
1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my
hands.

5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.

7 Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

8 My soul clings to {follows hard after} you; your right hand upholds me.

Lord Your love is better than life
More delightful than wine
I will rejoice in you and be glad;
I will extol Your love more than wine.

Draw me away, let me be swept up in Your love
Let me run after You
With my whole heart
Bless the LORD, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. --Ps 103:1
Let me follow hard and thirst for the living God
Let me thirst as the deer
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.
--Ps 42:1
As the deer pants for living water in a dry and weary land

Let me follow hard

Draw me away!

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

My lips will glorify you and in your name I will lift up my hands
Because your love is better than life
Your love, O Lord, is
Better than life.

Psalm 107:1-2
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures for ever {His loyal love endures}. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so -- those whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

This mornings worship & discussion of Psalm 107 was still with me -- especially Darlene's discussion of what the word endure means.

Because of the LORD's great love {mercies} we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Praise the LORD! While I was writing this down my daughter Shell sent me this song from college.

The LORD is so good!!! His timing is perfect. :)

It's only thru total surrender to the King of Kings that we can
Stand Secure!

You stood before creation
Forever within Your hand
You spoke all life into motion
My soul now to stand

You stood before my failure
And carried the cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders
My soul now to stand

So what can I say
And what could I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

So I’ll walk upon salvation
Your Spirit alive in me
This life to declare Your promise
My soul now to stand

So I’ll stand
With arms high and heart abandoned
In awe of the One who gave it all
I’ll stand
My soul Lord to You surrendered
All I am is Yours

Psalm 40:1-4
I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
Blessed is the one who makes the LORD his trust!

Give thanks to the LORD!
'Stand Secure' in the face of the enemy
He will flee
Deliverance you will see!

Joyce Meyer quote:
James 1:12 says, Blessed is the man that endureth temptation {testing}: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life...(KJV). To endure temptation means to go through trials without giving up...to outlast the devil.

James 5:11
Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and you have seen the Lord’s purpose, that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

The crown of life is our reward for standing firm throughout all of our trials. For keeping our faith in the Lord and allowing Him to perfect it.

From http://net.bible.org/verse.php?book=Jam&chapter=1&verse=12

Crown -- stephanos

1a1) the wreath or garland which was given as a prize to
victors in public games
1b) metaph. the eternal blessedness which will be given as a
prize to the genuine servants of God and Christ: the crown
(wreath) which is the reward of the righteousness
1c) that which is an ornament and honour to one

2) life

hypostatic "logos" and to Christ in whom the "logos" put on
human nature
2b) life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted
to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those
who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to
be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect
body), and to last for ever.

The crown of life -- a reward -- eternal life -- to those who stand secure and endure!

Psalm 42:7
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and
billows have swept over me.

In the midst of the storm
When the waters surge and the billows roar
When the waves threaten to sweep over and overwhelm

Listen for the voice of the LORD
The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders,
The LORD thunders over the mighty waters. --Ps 29:3
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls.

Listen for His voice to speak:
Peace! Be Still! --Mk 4:39

Let the peace of the Lord descend, cover
And rule in the midst of the storm.

Lift up your head
Lift up your face towards the sovereign LORD
In the midst of the storm
Commit your way to the LORD
Trust in Him. --Ps 37:5
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him. --Ps 37:7
For His rule
For His peace.

Psalm 65:7-13
You stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the
turmoil of the nations. Even those living in the most remote areas are
awestruck by your acts; where morning dawns and evening fades you call
forth songs of joy. You visit the earth and give it rain; you make it rich
and fertile with overflowing streams full of water. You provide grain for
them, for you prepare the earth to yield its crops. You saturate its
furrows, and soak its plowed ground. With rain showers you soften its
soil, and make its crops grow. You crown the year with your good
blessings, and you leave abundance in your wake. The pastures in the
wilderness glisten with moisture, and the hills are clothed with joy. The
meadows are clothed with sheep, and the valleys are covered with grain.
They shout joyfully, yes, they sing.

Romans 16:20
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our
Lord Jesus be with you.

Psalm 110:2
The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion;
you will rule in the midst of your enemies.

In the midst of the storm
Deep calls out to deep
Lift up your head to the Sovereign LORD!

***
Let the Prince of Peace Rule!

It's only thru surrender in the position of rest in Christ that we can ride
the waves (be lifted to rule) in the storm -- that His voice of peace and
crown are see and heard. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. He
is sovereign over all storms. He reigns!

Notice in Psalm 65, as we surrender and let His peace rule in the storm --
what's left in the wake -- ABUNDANCE -- an abundant harvest of souls.

Colossians 3:15-17
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body
you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in
you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and
as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your
hearts to God.

Isaiah 43:1-3
But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, O Jacob, he
who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have
summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the
waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will
not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be
burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer.

1 Peter 5:5-7
Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God
opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves,
therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Crowning -- in the birth of a baby this is when the baby's head has
passed through the birth canal and the top or “crown” stays visible to the
world without slipping back into the birth canal. Once the crowning is in
progress, and the head of the baby is visible like this, the birth of the
baby is imminent and this means that all the hours of labor are coming to
an end.

**Definition of crowning from:
http://www.med-help.net/child-birth/crowning-birth.html

John 16:19-24
'In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you
will see me'? I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world
rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A woman giving
birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is
born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into
the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again
and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. In that day you
will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give
you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for
anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be
complete.

Labor can be intense, this last stage of labor right before you push is the
most intense and painful. There is also a sensation known as "the ring of
fire" that accompanies the crowning -- this is the burning or stinging
sensation as the baby's head stretches the vaginal opening.

The natural tendency would be to push, but it is important to stop for a
time to prevent tearing. The pain is thought to peak at the crowning, so if
the head has crowned and passed thru the ring of fire, this is reassurance
that the worst is over.

Likewise as the Bride is born into Zion, she must pass thru the fire. The
Bridegroom desires a pure Bride without spot or wrinkle --Eph 5:25. A
Bride completely surrendered to the Father's will just as Jesus is.

John 5:19
Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing
by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because
whatever the Father does the Son also does."

So if you feel the pain of birth, and the head of the baby passing thru the ring of fire take heart. The Lord has not brought you to this point and not give delivery. When the head of the baby has crowned and is visible to the world, the worst is over.

Isaiah 66:7-9
"Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God.

The baby that is being born in Zion is the people, the priests that will rule with Christ.

Psalm 110:1-4
The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the midst of your enemies. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth. The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."

Romans 8:15-21
You did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

The priests, sons of God are revealed by His hand at the appointed time. It is the Lord that builds His house.

Revelation 12:1-6
A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Also remember in your time of labor, when the pain and fire are intense, keep looking forward for the appearing of the Bridegroom for His Bride is imminent.

Song 8:14
[Joyfully the radiant bride turned to him, the one altogether lovely, the chief among ten thousand to her soul, and with unconcealed eagerness to begin her life of sweet companionship with him, she answered] Make haste, my beloved, and come quickly, like a gazelle or a young hart [and take me to our waiting home] upon the mountains of spices!

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.

Song 2:10-13
My lover spoke and said to me,
... "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.
See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come,
... the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
... Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me."

Flowers, a sign that the winter is past
A sign of God's grace
Take heart
Spring always comes after the winter
And the grace of God like
The flowers and the cooing of the dove
Appear when the rains are over and gone.

Genisis 8:11
When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.

The time of singing has come! HalleluYah!!!!!

Psalm 42:8
The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime;
And His song will be with me in the night,
A prayer to the God of my life.

Be kept by the tender love of the Father thru the night

Covered with His feathers under His wings abide.

His gentle caress
His faithfulness
His sweet kiss
His song in the night
A prayer of life.

You will not fear the terror of the night
Wait, expectantly wait
For the bright Morning Star which comes with the morning light.

Be kept by the tender love of the Father thru the night
Wait, expectantly wait ...

Psalm 130:5-6
I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

Psalm 91:4-5
He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find

the terror of night...

Psalm 42:7
Deep calls out to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and

Above the sound of the surging water
Mightier than the breakers of the sea
The LORD sits enthroned in majesty
The LORD on high is mightier than these! --Ps 93:4

Fear Not! Blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. --Jere 17:7

Rev 5:5
He rules in victory; He reigns! Hear His roar!
Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. --Rev 19:6
He reigns!
He roars!

Revelation 19:6-8

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing
waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
"Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear."

Psalm 93
1 The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty;
the LORD is robed in majesty
and is armed with strength.
The world is firmly established;
it cannot be moved.

2 Your throne was established long ago;
you are from all eternity.

3 The seas have lifted up, O LORD,
the seas have lifted up their voice;
the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.

4 Mightier than the thunder of the great waters,
mightier than the breakers of the sea—
the LORD on high is mighty.

5 Your statutes stand firm;
holiness adorns your house
for endless days, O LORD, forever.

Ephesians 5:13-14
But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for
everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, "Awake,
sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

2 Peter 1:19
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to
pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns
and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Without Christ, there is no light! Without Him there is no light in which
the brightness of His truth can be seen.

We sit in darkness,
until the day dawns and the morning star arises in our hearts. --2 Pe
1:19

The bright morning star appears in the sky when the night is at its
darkest, before the dawn of the approaching new day. It is a sure sign
that the sunrise is near and that dawn is awakening.

As surely as we see the morning star arise, we will see the dawn. The
morning star is never far from the rising sun. For those who revere His
Holy name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. --
Mal 4:2

Jesus is the bright Morning Star.

Revelation 22:16
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I
am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give
authority over the nations— 'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he
will dash them to pieces like pottery'— just as I have received authority
from my Father. I will also give him the morning star. --Rev 2:26-28

To him who overcomes, Jesus the bright Morning Star is given! The
overcomer needs no sun or moon for he will shine like Jesus, reflecting
the brightness of the morning star, the Son. He who has this brightness
always has morning; there will be no night and the glory and honor of
the nations will be brought into it. --Rev 21:25-26

To him who overcomes, an unspeakable brightness, joy and peace is
given.

Dominion in Jesus Christ our Lord, the bright Morning Star.

********************************************************

Some interesting things about the morning star I came across today --

* Venus is the brightest natural object in the night sky, except for the
moon -- it is always brighter than the brightest stars. --Song 5:10
Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly
after sunset, for which reason it is often called the Morning Star or the
Evening Star. The alpha & omega! --Rev1:8 These are also the points at
which the night is the darkest.

* Because venus is so bright before sunrise and its rising can be
calculated, ships use it to navigate. Once the time of rise has been
calculated the navigator sharply watches the East: there the Morning Star
must rise. He waits and waits: any moment now! And suddenly: there is
Venus! So, even if you know when and where Venus should appear, it still
takes time and you must wait till it really is visible. And with great joy you
can see the beauty of the Morning Star. :)

When Venus is just visible it casts a narrow, clear silvery path on the
water, in which the sea can be beautifully observed. Outside this path-
of-light it is very dark and the sea is almost invisible. The narrow way!!

* Because Venus is an inferior planet, from Earth it never appears to
venture far from the Sun. It sometimes can be seen as it transits the face
of the Sun -- this photo is from 6-8-2004

* Venus appears before day break, before dawn
-Genesis 19:15 and onwards we read that Lot is taken from Sodom at
dawn, after that the judgment over Sodom is executed.

-Joshua 6:15 we read that Israel had to go around Jericho seven times
after dawn. Then the walls of Jericho collapsed and the town is taken.

-Jonah 4:7 we read that God sends worm at daybreak, causing the
miracle-tree to die.

----> God's judgment takes place just after daybreak.

----> The Morning Star appears before ...

----> The Morning Star announces the sunrise

----> The five wise virgins meet the Bridegroom before sunrise, then
the door was shut. --Mt 25:10

----> The Morning Star -- the Bridegroom announcing the coming Son,
the coming King and reign ...

To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give
authority over the nations— 'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he
will dash them to pieces like pottery'— just as I have received authority
from my Father. I will also give him the morning star. --Rev 2:26-28

Karen! Thank you! Very interesting!

So, the judgements begin in the House of the Lord first: at the same time with the appearance of the Morning Star, before the daybreak? (ten virgins: five foolish virgins remain outside the door of the Wedding House)

But the judgements for the world come later, just after daybreak? (after the great Revival; ''the birth of the Son'' Rev. 19; the Wedding, the Union!)

Actually what struck me was that the judgement seems to come with the sun rise -- after the morningstar rises. I'm not sure I understand all this but I associated the King's wrath with the judgement at dawn. Seems the King is associated with the sun. There is a gap between when the morning star appears and when the sun rises.

I associated the morning star with the Bridegroom -- the Bridegroom coming for the Bride -- before the sunrise -- before the King returns, before the wrath.

This seems to support the idea that the Bride will be shut away with the Bridegroom before sunrise -- protected from the wrath??

This Bride will be the wise virgins who have prepared themselves by submitting & surrendering to the Lord's purification -- the image of the threshing floor -- this image could also be seen as the judging of the church. This is a different judgement than those who will suffer the King's wrath. This purification is done before the morning star rises ...

I never really saw this before, but it seems very significant that the morning star is associated with the Bridegroom and comes before the dawn -- the sunrise of a new day ...

For some reason I always associated the Bridegroom coming with the sun ...

If the Morning Star means a Bridegroom, so the Sun means the Husband?

I remember that I was asking in my spirit almost a year ago: ''Where' s the Wedding? When' s the Wedding??''

The day break is near. The summer is near.

Yesterday I saw Jesus in a vision. He was so real. He was ''my'' Husband already, and ''I'' was His Wife (I represented The whole Remnant). His face was so serious. He was longing for ''Me'', His Wife so very much and I realized that He truly had given His all for His Wife, but He was looking for something more...and that' s why He was so serious and there was also sadness in His eyes...babes...children...would they survive...would they ever come Home with us...who will come...and who may not... The Husband was waiting and had been waiting for a long time and was happy to see His Wife so near but He was also worried. And I shared His heart of The Father and promised to do what ever He wants me to do. Nothing else matters, than to make Him happier. Let the children of God come Home!

Oh, Lord help us to see how the things are NOW!!! How short our time is!! help us understand what time is it!!

Psalm 57:7-9
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing praises and make music.
Awake, my soul {my glory}! Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples;

I have put my hope in your word.

Rise up before dawn and hope.
Awake, shout and dance for joy,
... for your dew is as the dew of the dawn --Isa 26:19

the earth.

Banner

Perfect love is a fresh wind blowing upon this work. God has a standing army. Prayer is influence. Fear removed. People of God are filled with the awareness of the deep stirring. God sends joy. Eyes lifted up, seek his face. Worship assaults the gates of hell. You strike a regional and global blow. This is Zion’s March. Knock and the gates of heaven open. This is timely. It is your turn of repentance. It is the front line of battle. Freedom song is love displayed. The banner is soaked with oil. You are the apple of God’s affection. This is God’s chosen rise in the river where the water spills over the banks. Ears and eyes have yet to see this awakened revelation of what is here. Benefits are blessings poured out for others without a thought for yourself. Faith’s fact is victory. The icy affliction melts because of your praise. God is here. Alive! Glory truth is God’s delight. Word! God speaks with embracing grace. He says “you are mine.” He has you before and behind.

Pondering your words has really blessed me -- look how praise, raising a
banner and awakening the dawn are linked with the bright morning star!
:)
Thank you.

2 Peter 1:19
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to
pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns
and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Revelation 22:16
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I
am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

The bright morning star appears in the sky, as the dawn of the new day
approaches. It is a sure sign that the sunrise is near and dawn is
awakening.

Revelation 2:26-28
To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give
authority over the nations— 'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he
will dash them to pieces like pottery'— just as I have received authority
from my Father. I will also give him the morning star.

Hold fast
Praise the Lord with the voice of triumph
Awake the dawn
Look for the bright morning star.

Malachi 4:2
As surely as we see the morning star arise, we will see the dawn. The morning star is never far from the sun. For those who revere His Holy name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. Song 4:6 Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, I will go to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of incense.

The day break, all those in the darkness and shadows long for this day break, for the brightness of dawn, for the Light of the Son.

In Him there is no darkness at all. --1 Jn 1:5
In Him there is life, and this life is the Light of men. The Light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. --Jn 1:4-5

In Jesus is the fountain of life, it's in His light that we see light. --Ps 36:9

He who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. --Jn 3:21

It's only in His light that we can walk, have life and fellowship in Him. --1 Jn 1:6
Practice His truth, obey His word and remain in His love. --Jn 15:10
Abide in Him and He will abide in you. --Jn 15:4

Arise and shine, for your light has come.
Let the glory of the Lord rise upon you. --Isa 60:1-2
Let His light and truth shine forth from your life.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. --Mt 5:14
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. --Mt 5:16

Psalm 43:3-4 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.

Let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might, like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning. --Jdg 5:31, 2 Sam 23:4

Without Christ, there is no light! Without Him there is no light in which the brightness of His truth can be seen.

We sit in darkness,
until the day dawns and the morning star arises in our hearts. --2 Pe 1:19

Psalm 18:28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning {will light my candle}; my God turns my darkness into light.

Psalm 112:4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright. They are gracious, full of compassion, and righteous.

The LORD will light my candle
And keep it shining bright.

When His candle shines upon my head --Job 29:3
I'll walk thru the cold, dark night
My path directed by His hand, His light.

I'll walk thru the night
Until the Son arises with the light of life
And turns all darkness to dawn's morning light.

Until dawn, all thru the night
The LORD will light my candle
And keep it shining bright.

John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

How bright is your lamp burning?

Did you know that an oil lamp burns best when full of oil?
When the oil level is low -- more of the wick is exposed, causing the wick to burn faster and sometimes give off smoke. The lamp burns best when only a tiny tip of the wick is exposed to the air and the flame. That way, it's mostly oil that burns and very little of the wick--almost none. Oil flows freely through a wick that is deeply soaked and immersed in the oil. Then it is the oil that burns and not the wick, and it gives bright, pure, clear light.

It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. --Gal 2:20 It is not I that burn, but Christ that must burn within me. You can be a beautiful wick, but you'll burn black and smokey with too little oil. You must soak yourself in the oil, so you won't burn, but it will be He who burns through you. Then you'll give pure smokeless light, clear and beautiful light to all that are in the house.

How bright is your lamp burning?
Check your supply of oil, replenish it daily. Be immersed in the oil of the Holy Spirit and let Jesus burn brightly to light the way.

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

"The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching ALL the inward parts of his being." (Pro.20:27)

:) This is quite profound!

The spirit of man is often associated with breath http://net.bible.org/strong.php?id=05397

n@shamah [05397];
1) breath, spirit
1a) breath (of God)
1b) breath (of man)
1c) every breathing thing
1d) spirit (of man)

This is the inner spiritual part of human life that was breathed in at creation.

Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

There is a continual need of a fresh breath from the Word of God. Without it, both convictions and encouragement from God’s Holy Spirit, His life giving breath, will greatly dim.

The God breathed word gives life and light to man, it causes us to see and try the secret of our dark hearts -- Heb 4:12. It causes us to keep growing.

Keep your candle burning bright. Seek the Lord for His God breathed word. Do it today!
