Rejoice in the New Day!

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; We will *rejoice and be glad in it!

I was looking at this verse -- look what I found -- a link between rejoicing in this day that the Lord has made and dancing!

This spinning around with much joy, gladness and rejoicing carries with it the idea of dancing - to circle in joy. This is how we are to rejoice and be glad -- this day, each new day.

Other places this idea of dancing - to circle in joy - Giyl appears:
1) Ps 45:15—joy of a wedding procession, the wedding of the King.
2) Is 9:3—joy of a redeemed nation.
3) Zech 9:9—joy of the coming Messiah
4) N.T. parallel “agalliao”—to exult & jump for joy (1 Pet 1:6-8, 4:13, Rev 19:7, Luke1:14, Luke 10:21)

There is one special dawn to look forward to. A dawn where all shadows will flee, where the glory of the LORD will rise upon all. Everything will be made new in this extraordinary new day. It will be a day like no other. There will be no more darkness, sorrow, pain, no need for the light of the sun or moon; for the LORD will be our everlasting light and the Lamb our lamp.

There will be rejoicing on this NEW DAY, like on no other. Rejoicing and dwelling with the King forevermore. --Rev 21


This is the day the LORD has made

Morning by morning he dispenses his justice, and every new day he does not fail.

Revelation 21:1-4, 22-23

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Simply Trust


Job 35:11
Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth
And makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?


CHOOSE to be like the lilies of the field or

Confident that the Lord has provided all you need to be what your are meant to be.

Fear Not!

1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether
they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the
world.


Today there are many voices, many words
Many are true, many are not
Many lead to a walk in fear.

Fear Not!
The testimony of Jesus, the Spirit of Prophecy does not lead to fear
For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
... but of power and of love and of a sound mind. --2 Tim 1:7


Jesus is the one voice behind all true prophecy
True Prophets are the bearers of the word of God
The word of God is inseparable from the testimony of Jesus.

All voices - words need to be judged
Do not be deceived
Discern, Test and Try
Spend time in the written word at the feet of Jesus
With the wonderful Counselor, the Spirit of Truth which teaches all things
As your guide.

The testimony of Jesus
Brings hope
Brings life
Brings perfect love which casts out all fear --1 Jn 4:18
Brings peace beyond circumstances and understanding.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything,
But in everything, by prayer and petition,
With thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,

Anointed Lips

Psalm 45:2, 6
You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with
grace, since God has blessed you forever.

Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be
the scepter of your kingdom.


Psalm 2:9, 12
You will rule them with an iron scepter (Or will break them with a rod of
iron ); you will dash them to pieces like pottery.

Kiss the Son [pay homage to Him in purity], lest He be angry and you
perish in the way, for soon shall His wrath be kindled. O blessed (happy,
fortunate, and to be envied) are all those who seek refuge and put their
trust in Him!



Anointed lips, the lips of the Son
Full of grace and truth
The Word made flesh, the One and Only --Jn 1:14
His mouth is sweetness itself; He is altogether lovely. --Song 5:16
With the kisses, the sweetness of His mouth be drawn
His love, better than wine
His name, a fragrant perfume poured out--Song 1:2-4
Taste and see the goodness of the Holy One --Ps 34:8
Bow down in purity and Kiss the Son. --Ps 2:12

Anointed lips
The thread of scarlet placed upon the lips of the Bride --Song 4:3
In the window of her face
Jesus proclaimed, a beautiful testimony
Truth and grace
The goodness of the Holy One

Taste and see.


Psalm 34:8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge
in Him.

Psalm 45 and the Song of Solomon have this image of anointed lips and
the longing/love between the Bride & Groom.

Song 5:10,13,16     
10     My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand.
13     His cheeks are like beds of spice yielding perfume. His lips are like
lilies dripping with myrrh.
16     His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my
lover, this my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.


Notice the lips in both of these passages - anointed with grace - lilies
dripping with myrrh - his mouth is sweetness itself. The lover in these
passages point to Jesus Christ, the Messiah King. His lips - His words are
full of grace and truth (Luke 4:22, John 1:14). His words are sweet to the
taste and more precious than gold (Psalm 119:103, Psalm 19:10). His
words are strong, satisfying like lilies - life sustaining (Matthew 4:4). The
bride longs for the 'kisses' of her lover; His lips, His words, His presence.

Song 1:2-4
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— For your love is better
than wine. Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, Your name is
ointment poured forth; Therefore the virgins love you. Draw me away!


This image of the Bride and Groom -- exchanging words -- grace & truth
-- tasting sweetness of their love -- what better way to express this love
than with a kiss? And a song? Notice that both Ps 45 and the Song of
Solomon are love songs between the Bride & Groom.

This idea really tickles my heart! To me it implies that when the Groom
gives the Bride a new song to sing -- the way it is put in her mouth is
with an anointed kiss!!!! When the Bride sings it back to the Groom it's as
if she's returning this kiss -- (paying homage in purity)!

I also like Pamela's question -- I believe that we as Christ's body can
share His anointed kisses -- with each other AND unbelievers.

I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
... out of the mud and mire;
... He set my feet on a rock
... and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
... a hymn of praise to our God.
... Many will see and fear
... and put their trust in the LORD.

Paths

Proverbs 5:1-7
My child, pay attention to my wisdom, listen well to my words of insight (understanding), That you may observe discretion and your lips may guard knowledge. For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death, her steps take hold of Sheol. She does not ponder the path of life; Her ways are unstable, but she does not know it (She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t even realize where it leads). Now then, my child, listen to me and do not depart from the words of my mouth.


Proverbs 14:12, 16:25
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

There is only one path that is good, that is straight, that leads through the narrow gate (Mt 7:13-14), the path of life.

All others though they may seem right in the eyes of man lead to death -- away from the path of life.

Notice that the words leading to death sound good and are smooth. Is there anything we can do to avoid being taken in by the sweet sounding words of the adulteress?

Ponder the path of life! Allow God's word to be a lamp that directs your feet -- a light to keep you on the path leading to life -- leading to Jesus Christ the way the truth and the life --Jn 14:6.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

It carries with it the thought that eating His Word results in praise --

The Lord dwells -- inhabits -- is enthroned in this praise!
