Imagine a musical instrument that could imitate human speech. Not a conventional instrument like a clarinet, where some form of manipulation using the hands over the end or even trying to mouth the words while blowing into it, to form words. This would be a custom made instrument.
The instrument would be made to reproduce the human mouth in every detail. A double reed inside of pvc pipe for the throat and larynx, a "latex worm puppet" for the tongue, ceramic slabs for the teeth, etc...
