Why On Earth Should the Spy Plane Crew be Awarded??
Why should the crew of the downed U.S. surveilance plane be honored? These are men and women who did nothing special at all. They are getting awared for doing the job they're supposed to do everyday, so how come they get such special treatment? What about all of the other service men and women who are just doing their assigned jobs without being honored? I think all of this sets a very bad precedent, but then again we have a habit of this in our country. In the U.S. drug users (Aaron Sorkin) get awarded, thug criminals get big contracts and are awarded honors in the NFL, NBA, etc....this is all too ingorant. We need to stop awarding all of these people for doing NOTHING. Wait till someone actually does something, and then award them...until then, get off the crew of the plane, because they are not heroes, and they are not special.
