Ginger Foutley (voiced by Melissa Disney) - the main character of the show. A 12 year old girl caught between her best friends and her possible new friend in Courtney Gripling, the most popular girl in school.
Carl Foutley (voiced by Jeannie Elias) - Ginger's younger brother, Carl - best friends with Hoodsey...always looking for adventure and usually trouble at the same time. He is always coming up with ideas of how he and Hoodsey can become rich and possibly even famous...they spend a lot of their time in the doghouse in the backyard, that is filled with scientific experiments, and eyeball in a jar full of liquid, and other gross things.
Lois Foutley (voiced by Laraine Newman) - Lois is a great mother. A nurse by profession, her kids come first, and she makes it known she will always be there for them. She can be blunt at times, but she's almost always one of the friendliest characters in the show.
Jonas Foutley - Ginger's dad. We haven't seen him much. He shows up in the Even Stevens Holiday Special, and he sent Ginger a letter in the episode: "Hello Stranger."
Dodie Bishop (voiced by Aspen Miller) - Dodie is one of Ginger's best friends. She and Macie are pretty much the same in terms of their personality...minus the fact that Macie seems to have numerous health problems/allergies/ and phobias. She is much more outgoing than Macie, but less outgoing then Ginger.
Robert "Hoodsey" Bishop (voiced by Tress MacNeille) - Hoodsey is Carl's best friend and Dodie's younger brother. He is a follower and will usually go along with Carl on any "mission" you could possibly imagine. He loves to eat, which is somewhat shown by the size of his tummy and his love of the Foutley's kicthen.
Mrs. Bishop (aka JoJo) - Dodie and Hoodsey's mother. She likes Ginger but clearly despises Carl Foutley.
Mr. Bishop - Not a whole lot to say about him (I haven't seen much of him)...he seems to be somewhat of a nervous fellow...and he looks exactly like his son, but 20 something years older...
Nana Bishop - Dodie and Hoodsey's grandmother. I'm not sure if she has been in any episodes, but they talked about her a lot when she died in the episode "Goodbye Nana Bishop."
Macie Lightfoot (voiced by Jakie Harris) - Macie is Ginger's other best friend. As mentioned above, she is the least outgoing of the group, and she looks like she would be really shy and quiet, yet looks are deceiving in that she is often right there in the middle of the action. She, like Hoodsey is more of a follower than her two friends. She's really smart, and she seems a bit nerdy, but it doesn't bother her. She is known for her numerous health problems/ allergies/ and phobias.
Courtney Gripling (voiced by Liz Georges) - The most popular girl in school, Courtney is obscenely rich, and she gets everything she wants. She is best friends with Miranda, and they spend most of their time making fun of those they believe are "below" them. Courtney shows a sweet side of herself every now and then when she befriends Ginger. Ginger is wanting to be friends with Courtney, but in the end, it's never really clear whether Courtney wants to be real friends, or if she's just on a power trip.
Blake Gripling (voiced by Kath Soucie) - Blake is Courtney's brother who longs to be best friends with Carl...if not for that darned Hoodsey who is always in the way. He wants to be part of the Carl/ Hoodsey group, but they always tell him to get away. They are sworn enemies most of the time (despite Blake's attempts to befriend the boys.) On occasion, Blake will join forces with Carl and Hoodsey and help them on their various "missions."
Miranda Killgallen (voiced by Cree Summer) - Miranda is Courtney's best friend, and probably the meanest girl in school. She thinks she is better than anyone (maybe even better than Courtney) and she shows it all the time, by treating every one like garbage.
Darren Patterson (voice by Kenny Blank) Darren is Ginger's best guy friend. He has the braces and the headgear, and because of it, is usually labeled a nerd. His older brother Will was popular in jr. high and high school...and Darren sometimes hopes he can follow in his big bro's footsteps. He has a great friendship with Ginger, but that's all it is- a friendship...or is it?
Will Patterson - Will is Darren's popular older brother. He is Courtney's "dream guy." He is in the same high school French class as Courtney. He is a good older brother who is usually there for Darren, but he shows his love in an odd way.
Winston "the driver" (voiced by John Kassir) - Winston is the Gripling's driver. He has helped Blake in a mission with Carl to give a pig's heart to a beloved cow.
Brandon Higsby - Brandon is the arch enemy of sorts of Carl and Hoodsey. He is an annoying little kid who is always with his brother's monkey, Mr. Licorice. He is constantly annoying the two boys.
Mr. Licorice (the monkey) - We have heard numerous times that this is Brandon's older brother's monkey, but Brandon is the one who always has Mr. Licorice. He brought him for pet day at school (when it bit Carl) and Carl and Hoodsey found him for Brandon in one of the newest episodes.
Mipsey - One of Courtney and Miranda's friends.
