SUMMARY "Table Stakes" February 22, 2001 An elite fund-raising party at a legendary showgirl's elegant Las Vegas mansion turns deadly in a twist-filled episode. Grissom and Catherine investigate when the body of a leggy brunette is discovered floating in the mansion's pool. Their suspicions soon focus on the brash couple, Patrick and Amanda Haynes (Shawn Christian, Elizabeth Lackey), who hosted the party and are house-sitting for the absent owner. They claim the former entertainer, now a wealthy older woman, is vacationing in Europe and can't be reached, but Grissom and Catherine aren't so sure. Also, Warrick combs for clues when a man is gunned down, possibly by a hit man, in a hotel elevator. Gil: "The sign says do not enter, Nick. You can't read anymore? You're blind? what?!"

Nick: Grissom, this is imporant!

Gil: THIS is important! Sometimes in interrogations, Nick, you get one chance , ONE answer...and while I'm out here screwing around with you, he's in there thinking up an answer that he didn't have before you walked in!

Nick: We matched the DNA taken from Lacey Duvall to a cold case in texas ten years ago.

Gil: And?

Nick: The suspect's name was Chad Matthews.

Gil: C.M. The cufflink....Okay, I'm starting to forgive you.......
