CSI Executive Producers Sign New Contracts
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The executive producers of CBS' hit investigative drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," Ann Donahue and Carol Mendelsohn, will be staying on the scene for at least another two years.
Donahue has signed a new deal with "CSI" producer CBS Prods. and Alliance Atlantis, that keeps her on the series through the 2003-04 season. The deal also calls for the executive producer to develop new projects. Mendelsohn is close to finalizing a similar deal, according to trade sources.
The two veteran TV writer-producers were brought onto the project by CBS last year to executive produce "CSI" along with the series' creator, Anthony Zuiker.
"[Zuiker] created a fresh franchise," Donahue tells The Hollywood Reporter. "This show made me fall back in love with writing."
Donahue's other credits include "China Beach," "Murder One," "Picket Fences" and "21 Jump Street." Mendelsohn has worked on the shows "Melrose Place," "Wiseguy" and "Gabriel's Fire."
"CSI" is also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Prods.
