Evidence Doesn't Add Up for Clinton 'CSI' Appearance

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - A rumor that former President Bill Clinton will make a guest appearance on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is apparently no more than that.

"He's not," is the succinct response from a publicist for the hit crime drama.

The rumor first appeared as a short item in the National Enquirer, which said Clinton would play the head of a law firm in an upcoming episode. The item was picked up by at least one TV newscast, that of Los Angeles' FOX affiliate.

As Clinton was preparing to leave office in January 2001, a number of pundits speculated that he would make a post-White House career in Hollywood, perhaps as head of a studio. Instead, he has opted to work in New York, where wife Hillary Rodham Clinton is a U.S. senator.
