Britney Spears was so scared of performing on stage with a live snake she broke out into a rash.

The singer draped the seven-foot albino python over her shoulders for her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

She says she broke out in hives after the snake kept turning its face towards her during rehearsals.

Britney told the Daily Record: "At rehearsals they kept saying 'Britney, just get comfortable with the snake, get to know it,' and I was like, 'I don't want to get to know this snake'.

"It was around me and it kept turning its face and looking at me and pointing its tongue out at me and I got so scared that I broke out in hives everywhere.

"In rehearsals I was a wreck, but once I went on stage, I was fine because I knew I just had to do it."

JOSH'S COMMENTS: If this isn't a slut, then I don't know what is!! PUT SOME CLOTHES ON WHORE! The rash? It's God's way of saying act like a woman and not a tramp!! When will this bitch get a clue?! By the way...why on earth does she need the microphone? Come on, hon, we are not clueless...do you think anyone out there still thinks you actually sing yourself? You don't need a mic to lip synch! Then again, she did sing live at one of the MTV awards shows...I suggest you go to one of the mp3 sites or use one of the programs and download the live version of her singing at whatever MTV awards show it was that she stripped out of the suit.
