"Yotsuba To!" is the story of a young girl named Koiwai Yotsuba and her father moving into a new town. Yotsuba is a very curious and spirited girl. She sometimes is a bit too curious about various situations. With this in mind, she is not always careful.
Azuma Kiyohiko-sensei's latest work just appeared a half-year ago. So far, the first part here does give us an idea of who the people are. I have not discovered why is it that the Koiwai family is moving. Most likely, the mother died and the family couldn't afford to keep their previous place.
When I first looked at the manga several days back, I was wondering, "Is this right or am I looking at "Azumanga?" and don't be surprised if you happen to do this. Yotsuba-chan really does look like Chiyo-chan. She even has her spirit as well. To some extent, I was like Yotsuba-chan when I was her age, as I was a kid who was curious about the many aspects of life. Of course, I paid the price in some of those cases, but I did learn various lessons.
After reading the first chapter or so, I instantly said that I want to read more "Yotsuba To!" The developing is good so far and I had few chuckles myself. It sure helped me think back about my days as a child.
