Jamie Lynn Vercauteren was born on September 3, 1979 in Redwood City, California. She has been involved in music and stage since she was six, starting with the violin and acting, and eventually moving on to trumpet (hated it), guitar (loved it), drums (but she never actually had a drum set this doesn't really count), and singing. Since 1997 she has been moving too much to pursue any of this, having moved from and to (sometimes several times over) San Carlos, Nippinahwahsee, Daly City, Talent(OR), Pittsburg, Albany, Flagstaff(AZ), Oakland, Oakhurst and Los Angeles. Traveling is her passion, but living out of boxes and moving constantly is not, and after recently moving 6 times in one year with no real end in sight Jamie is very, very tired.
Jamie's last speaking role in a play (back in 1996) began with her strip dancing at the College of Notre Dame in Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Thus at the age of 17 she became known as "The Naked Girl" on the campus. Since 2001 she has been in 3 films written and directed by Waylon Bacon.
In January 2005, Jamie found some acrylic paints and canvases on sale for dirt cheap. Having never been able to afford paints before, she went crazy shopping and just hoped she'd have some talent with the stuff. The results are featured on this websight, and are stacked in her bedroom waiting for the day she has time to figure out what to do with all of it.
Beyond music, art and acting, Jamie has 3 major goals in her life that have not changed since she was 5 years old:
1.) to live in Southern California... she currently resides in Venice, CA :)
2.) to travel anywhere and everywhere
and
3.) to laugh, truly and whole-heartedly, as much as possible...
