                        Our Layout

This is one of the few almost totally Santa Fe Train sites on the web. As

you may have guessed most of my rolling stock and engines are antiques

they are 24 to 30 years old and most are Athearn. In fact there is a 1776

train [Mantua] from the bi-centennial floating around in the layout somewhere.

The layout was 8 x 7, but is now 9x9 foot, when I had the layout up before

it was filled a 12x14 foot room, with multiple levels. As you can see there are

only 2 levels on this layout and we gave up putting in a lot of the buildings in

an effort to get more track down. J

As usual, when you add track to a limited area you end up with less of

something else L in this case it was buildings. A number of the buildings

that I had up before can’t be added; Round house, turntable, coaling

tower and mine, operating coal bottom drop cars,  gondola side dump

cars, beach, lake, fishing and boats, tennis court and part of the park

scenes had to be eliminated. L Even the town is now gone!!! Hopefully,

you will enjoy the buildings that we have been able to place into the layout.
