I am
currently a doctoral student in American Studies at the University of
Minnesota. My research interests lie in deconstructing Filipino American
masculinity as a product of Spanish and American colonization, and against
Asian American stereotypes of emasculated, feminized, sexless males.
I employ postcolonial theories to flesh out the relevant, but obscured,
discourses within cultural productions including literature, theater, film,
music, etc.
Otherwise
