"ONCE IN LOVE WITH LAURA is one of those stories that 'speaks' to you through the characters' emotional attachment for each other. With plenty of smoldering sex scenes, comical witty dialogue and an element of suspense I happily sat and read this story straight through. I especially loved Laura's reaction to Nick's dominant demeanor. Laura and Nick make a wonderful couple and as you read their story you can't help but admire them. Honey Jans tells wonderful BDSM tales and seems to be improving her talent at her craft with each new story."

"ONCE IN LOVE WITH LAURA packs a power erotic punch with a great deal of sexuality and an underlying mystery that keeps the plot rolling. The slight fear that Laura feels at being in her predicament felt very genuine and allowed me to relaxingly enjoy her sexual awakening. While Laura is a little fearful, she jumps into her role with her head held high and having an open mind, which I loved. Nick is more of a mystery and there wasn't as much background on him. Although we know a bit about Nick's past, the details are lightly skimmed over, making me want to know more about what made him tick, personality-wise. Likewise for Laura. Although she was easy going, I didn't know much of anything about her from before this experience. This made me feel as though I was missing a page, not quite connecting to the characters, a connection that would have greatly increased my enjoyment of the tale. Nonetheless, the sex scenes were outstanding. The inclusion of BDSM made the connection between Laura and Nick more compelling and erotic. With spanking, D/s, and anal play, Nick takes control and shows his alpha-dominance. The plot mostly involves the growing love between Nick and Laura but includes the mystery behind what causes Laura to become a courtesan, an inclusion into the plot that helped keep my interest peaked. With a bit more personable interaction outside their D/s play, I would have fallen completely for ONCE IN LOVE WITH LAURA. Overall, this is an enjoyable and recommended read."
