All these cultures bring together a mix of everything. The people of Hawaii even have their own slang called "pidgeon". Early on, when migrant workers came to the islands to work the plantation fields, they found it difficult to communicate. With the only common language being English, they mixed many words from their own native languages with it, and from this came a slang in which most people still use today.
