As stated in the picture, this platform is called Dulang, consist of 4 platform. We lived here at Dulang Bravo which is also mother platform for the other 3 platforms namely Dulang Apha, Dulang Charlie & Dulang Delta. Personnel working here is roughly around 50 persons. The other platforms is meant to be unmaned patform but currently they are manned by production personnel and an assistant on 1 week rotation basis.Meaning to say they will have to stay there for 1 week.After that someone else will took over from them.
Our work schedue is 2 weeks on ( working offshore ) and 2 weeks off ( resting onshore ). Best huh? There are only two ways to go to our work place, that is either you take a boat ride or by using helicopter. Kalau nak rasa mabuk free, dipersilakan naik bot sebab perjalanan akan mengambil masa selama lebih kurang 14 jam dari darat. We prefer to fly in using helikopter. The journey alone took about 50 minutes from heibase which is in Kerteh, terengganu.Gambar kat bawah tuh adalah jenis helikopter yg kiter org pakai untuk ke tempat keje. Except for the surrounding sea, our work place is almost the same as what other factory look like. Oh ya, lupa plak, kat sini ader kepala telaga minyak ( wellhead ). Kat sini kiter biasa panggil Xmas tree jer. We had our own power generation plant, gas compression plant and potable water making facilities. We still had to get food stuff from shore tho ( as there is no argicultural area available here.... hehheheheheeeee....... ) Haaa... gambau kat bawah tuh ialah sebahagian daripada equipment yg ader kat tempat keje kite orang....
The 1st one tuh, kiter orang nyer Central Control room, the heart of our operation, tempat tuh kena manned 24 jam.
Gambau yg 2nd tuh ialah telaga minyak nyer 'kepala' atau Xmas tree, inilah bende yg menyalurkan minyak mentah dari dalam bumi ke tempat pemprosesan yg ader kat sini. Sesebuah telaga minyak tuh digali mengikut kedalaman tertentu, iaitu sehingga sampai ke tempat dimana terdapatnya formation batu batan atau tanah yg ader terdapat minyak yg di panggil 'reservoir'. Ia boleh mencecah ribuan kaki ke dalam bumi.
Gambau yg ke 3 tuh. ialah tempat pemisahan antara minyak mentah, air dan gas. Ini dilakukan dengan menyalurkan minyak mentah tersebut ke dalam vessel. Ini penting kerana kat sini kiter orang akan menyalurkan minyak mentah tersebut ke tempat simpanan minyak yg juga merupakan sebuah kapal tangki, nama dia Puteri Dulang atau lebih dikenali sebagai FSO jer kat sini.
Gambau yg berikutnyer, yg ke 4 tuh, ialah alat yg menghasilkan air minum, potable water, yg diproses daripada air laut. Pernah dengar RO? Alaa... air minuman tuh, RO tuh stands for Reverse Osmosis. Tuhlah yg kiter org gunakan untuk buat air minum..... Equipment lain, tak sempat aku nak amik gambau dorang, someday nanti, aku akan masukkan gambau dorang... thats a promise...... Dan kebiasaannyer Sebagai Production Technician, mereka kena keja seminggu siang dan seminggu pulak keje malam. Biasanyer mereka keje malam pada minggu ke 2 bertugas jer.
Surely, some of you out there wondering, what was it like, living on an offshore facilities. Well, kehidupan kat sini macam kehidupan kat asrama, sumer ader kat sini. Its just a matter of how prepared are you before going to work. Kalau terlalu pikirkan awek ker family ker, yg kat darat tuh, alamatnyer meranalah hidup korang. Kat bawah tuh are some shots at our living quarters.
The 1st pic, this is how our rooms look like, part of it actually, as dalam satu bilik, kiter ader 4 org penghuni. Bilik mandi plak kiter org share. Untuk 1 floor tuh ader dua bilik mandi. Hmm.... kat sini ada 3 floor untuk penginapan, offices, sick bay, surau dan some other things. 1st floor tuh ialah tempat makan, rekreasi, meeting dan sbagainyer.
Gambau ke 2 tuh ialah tempat kiter org makan.
Time makan plak seperti berikut :
01.Sarapan dari kul 0500 sampai kul 0600 pagi, pas tuh kul 0915 sampai 0930 plak ader gak makan.
02.Makan tengahari plak dari pukul 1215 sampai kul 1300.
03.Tea break plak dari kul 1515 sampai kul 1530.
04.Dinner plak dari kul 1815 sampai kul 1900. Supper dari kul 2115 sampai kul 2130.
Gambau yg ke 3 tuh ialah dapur kiter org.
Yg ke 4 plak ialah recreation room kat sini. Tempat ni sentiasa ada org kalau malam.... Tengok TV, main pool atau sekadar bersembang.... Kira tempat berkumpul bertukar tukar cerita.......
