Looking for Ogopogo

The monster, said to live in Lake Okanagan, has been around for a long time.
The First Nations people of the region called it H'Naatik.

Then, in the 1920's, someone named the monster Ogopogo after the music hall song of the time.
And the name stuck.


It was my good fortune have a friend who remembered listening to the song as a youngster.

I'm looking for Ogopogo, the funny little Ogopogo.
His father was an earwig,
his mother was a whale.
I'm going to put a little salt upon his tail,
& etc.
