Nickel is a metal that was discoverd by Alex Cronstedt in 1751 in Sweden. It is malleable, ductile and a conductor of electricity and heat. Nickel is one of only three known elements that has a magnetic field along with iron and cobalt. The name nickel originated from the german word kupfernickel or flase copper.
