Tonights show was brilliant Gov't Mule opened while everyone found their seat. He did his job with warming the crowd up. At about 8:35 the band came on that's when they began with So Right this song featured a great solo from Leroi. Next was Busted Stuff which sounded great. Following BS Bartender was played with some terrific solos from all of the band members. SMTS was next I was hoping for ASTB into TM to no avail. The Space Between was then played this Irvine crowd seemed like an Everyday type of Crowd. Raven was a swell song that is quickly becomming a personal favorite. Crush, one of Dave's best songs was then played with stirring emotion and it was jammed for a long time. Help Myself was played back in 1999 (my first show) and tonight it was also played I really like that song. If I had it all was ok but Rhyme and Reason quickly got things going again. Pig was beautifully played and seeemed to be enjoyed by everyone in the sold out house. Where Are You Going was played by the man of steal:). Fool To Think was nice and quick which had Stefan dancing up a storm. Grey Street was fabulous and then the biggest Highlight of the night had to be Everyday with only the second time I know of where the crowd sang Honey, Honey and the band responed with playing #36 it was totally awsome. The maybe the best Watchtower I have ever seen out of 3 with Haynes doing some fine solos with his slide, this was a great way to end the set. The Encore continued the greatness with Willie Nelsons' Ain't It Funny... to cap off the night Dave and His Band ended the night with a rousing Tripping Billies. All in All a mighty fine show filled with a mix of old and new. Out of 10 I give it an 8.25556
