Hello. Welcome to the homepage of the Cool Quarter Jazz Band. My name is George DeLancey, the bassist and current bandleader of the Cool Quarter Jazz Band. The ambitions and style of the Cool Quarter are rooted deep in the music and compositions of Davis, Mingus, Monk, Parker, and other greats. As well as a fair compositional group, the improvisational skills of the band members is also adequet to the jazz idiom. The Cool Quarter is currently consiting of 4 members, Myself on upright bass, Rick Harvey on trumpet, Andres Servais on guitar, and Isaac Zilka on drums. We, as of now, expect to open on August 1st at the Cool Beans Coffee Shop in downtown Cambridge. Please stop by and check us out.
