My life

When I was growing up, I always found myself listening to music. I'm not sure why but I began playing Violin in third grade and then as my passions for jazz and the saxophone began to get to great to bare, my parents found a sax and a teacher in our area, to assist me in my learning. Of coarse I still continued at school with violin, but I found much joy and pleasure in playing the sax. I was better suited for it, then I was for the violin.

By the time I was due to begin 6th grade, my parents had decided that it would be best for us to North Carolina. I figured it wouldn't be too bad, I had never been there personally, but I really had no choice or say in the matter. Upon enrolling in school, we found that the music department wasn't all that great and there wouldn't be any desire for me to play until I was in high school, so I just stuck to the other art classes. It was so difficult to come from a time where I was investing time into my saxophone, to a time that I rarely played but maybe once or twice a month. It was strange but I found that the only time I played was when I was dealing with something and just needed relief. I really struggled with living in NC, I got beat up a few times. You may notice that I don't say that I got into fights, cause well, I didn't have much of a chance at fighting back. I never really though of it as something I should need to do. So after three years of me hating school, and hating life, and really falling away from God, my family decided to make another big move. We were going to Washington State!

Washington can be kinda tricky, because it is not entirely beautiful like many have been lead to believe. On the West side of the mountains it is mostly beautiful, even getting more lush and tropical the farther you go west. But on the east side of the mountains it is less attractive. I still find it to be beautiful but it is more of a dust, tumble weed, and wheat feilds type of beautiful. You often see beatuiful orchards, but other than that it's kinda bland. This is where we moved to! The Tri-Cities. It's a nice area, and the schools are promising, offering great musical opportunities and teaching students to the highest caliber possible.

To be continued...
