Kemmer Stock Mountain Feist

At left is Ginger. This is the little Kemmer Stock Mountain Feist pup that I waited over a year to get. Can't judge the entire litter by this little four week old pup. I picked the littlest, ugliest little pup in the bunch. My buddies couldn't believe I picked this particular pup. Well, this was my pick and I think I picked the right pup. She is out of Delane Wideners PeeWee and Mack Ledbetters Dixie. Hard to believe looking at her picture how she looks and acts now. I do believe she is going to make it.

This is what Ginger looks like at under 5 months old. I have been taking her for walks about twice a week in the woods. She has picked up scent on wild squirrel took it too a tree, located and got up on the tree and done everything. All she has to do is bark a little more and she will be there. I have seen her get her head up good and do the tippy toe high step winding squirrel. This pup has a lot of class. She is alert and quick and I might book me another one from the same cross.

This is Gingers Mama and her litter of pups. Ginger is the pitiful looking one in the foreground. This was a good acting litter of little pups and it was tough to pick one. If somebody asks me why I picked this one I would just say "because I liked her the best" besides she is the one my Grandaughter said she wanted me to pick. If you don't have Grandchildren you may one day understand.

Here is Ginger at 7 months of age showing she can reach up a tree trunk. She will put a squirrel up and look good doing it. Not a lot of bark at the tree at this age but that will come. By the way, at this point Ginger has never had a squirrel shot down to her nor has she ever had her mouth on fur. She is going to do just fine and I am sure looking forward to the next season with her.
