My latest Silverbell/Senorita

This is the latest B&D. I bought on Ebay. It was more or less a wreck and in need of lot of TLC. The serial number is 25261 Silverbell #1 19 frets with extended .fingerboard.
But the neck was a wreck and so the resonator. The outer part of the wood was simply missing. The flange was painted white and somebody has tried to bend it away from the resonator with a screwdriver. The plating was gone in some places as also on the tonering and on the tensionhoop and on the Oettinger. All hooks were corroded. But I had a Senorita neck just in case. And I also had an old Super resonator. I ordered som new hooks. Took the paint away and mounted the senorita neck. It was a perfect fit. My dear friend Karsten Schnuur will hopefully deal with the original Silverbellneck in the future. I had set it up and it sounds good. For the time being it will be my working horse .Replating will also be done.

The bridge and flange

I made a new bridge to the banjo. I use rendeerhorn as inlay on the bridge. It gives a good sound.

The flange has lost some plating .

The resonator

The old Super resonator fitted perfect with the Silverbell flange. The wood have lots of scratches from beltbuckle. But grind, paint grind. paint and so on.
