January 27th, 2004 - So yeah. Just in case anyone looks at this site, and in case you didnt know, At Long Last is no longer a band. I dont know when we broke up. I think somewhere around October or November of 2003. I know no one cares, but im gonna write a bit about stuff cuz im bored. Everyone that was in At Long Last at any point is now in another band. Tim is in a band with some of the guys that used to be Gregs Hero called The Turnaround (www.gregshero.com); Grant is in a pop punk/rock emo type band called Far From Known (www.farfromknown.tk); Danny Rankin is in a band with Chris Fritter and others called Heavy Heavy Low Low, and they will soon be playing in a venue near you; Robbie is in a band called Wings of Icarus which he started with Joey (one of the best local drummers), the old singer of Redfall, and some other guys that you probably know. They've played a couple shows and will be playing more very soon. I, TJ, and Danny Beesley started a band and call it A Secret Among Thieves, and we, too, will be hitting up a venue near you very soon; Matt is starting a band with Ry, a good friend of the old band and is still in Ellipsis... the best band ever. Basically we broke up because everyone got tired of playing the music we were playing. Tim left early on because he thought we sounded a lot like thrice (which was true). Grant left because his roots are pop punk, and you always need to go back to your roots. Danny Rankin left because he likes weird hardcore stuff like the blood brothers. Danny Beesley left because he was tired of screaming. Robbie left because he wanted to play different stuff. Matt left because everyone else left. And then there was me, sitting in our practice space aka my house without a band to play with. A lot of times i miss it even though im in a new band. My new band is kind of weird, and sometimes i miss playing catchy stuff that leads right into a heavy breakdown or something. I miss rockin out at shows. I miss playing shows period. I miss selling our demos for 2 dollars and looking in my pocket and just being so happy that people want to support us, or just not look like a cheap jerk for turning down something for two dollars. I miss getting to that super heavy part in a song at practice and for some reason it just sounds super good and it pumps you up so you go mad crazy and rock out like never before. So i miss a lot of things, but hey what are you gonna do about it. Thats all for now. since this site's free i'll prolly update it every once in awhile letting you know whats going on. not that anyone goes to the site and not that anyones gonna read that freakin book i just wrote. ok bye.
