    Technique in which a specially coated cardboard is used to create white-line-on -black drawings that, when reproduced, resemble wood engravings.


  • Choose the design that you want to make. (you can draw one or copy one )
  • Choose the scratchboard depending of the design that you want to make(if you want to do shadows you will have to pick black and white) , you can pick the colorful, silver, gold or textured scratchboard for any other design.
  • Glue the sheet design with tape on the opaque side of the scratch board paper so you can copy with a pencil the design in the scratch paper.
  • Take a scratch tool and scratch the paper (each line that you copied ) until the desing is complete.
  • Materials Clayboard - coated clayboard
  • Scratch tool or scratch knife.
