You Made Me

You made me the woman I am
The woman I never thought
I could be
And because of that
I thank you

You showed me what love is
And what I wanted from it
You made me love
When I thought I could not

You made me crave you
And breathe you as my air
You made me your wife
I gave you my life

You made me happy
You made me sad
You made me hurt
You made me mad

You made me cry a river of tears
That flowed to a river end
You made me your lover
I made you my friend

You made me your freak
You made me your slave
You made me your foundation
And your chambermaid

You made me your right hand
I made you my left
You made my world revolve around you
You were my everything
And as a result
You made me the bitter woman
I am today
