The Bead Society meets the first Thursday of every month with the exception of July. The meetings are held from 7-9 pm in the recreation room at St John's Lutheran Church, 1410 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE (the corner of Ponce and Oakdale) in Atlanta. The doors open at 6:30 for refreshments and "Show & Tell" prior to the start of the meeting.
Dues are $25 per year and include up to nine instructional projects - not to mention door prizes and our blow-out annual Holiday Celebration in December. A bunch of us also retire after the meeting to the local pizza parlor to stuff our faces and continue the beading atmosphere and camaraderie - any and all are welcome to join us.
A few other benefits of becoming a member include:
- Chance to win monetary prizes in annual Bead Challenge
- Discounts from participating bead stores and vendors
- Member discounts for outside workshops
- Opportunity for reimbursement of outside class fees
- Participation in annual Bead Retreat
