Simba (Mathew Brodderick) and Nala (Moira Kelly) have had a daughter who is the apple of her daddy's eye. Kiara (Neve Campbell) is so much like her father that trouble seems to follow her through every twist and turn. Even Timon (Nathan Lane) and Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella) can't keep her out of trouble as they take on the role of her protector. While out exploring one day, she meets another young cub named Kovu (Jason Marsden) who turns out is the son of Scar, Simba's evil Uncle. Kovu's mother decides to use this new friendship as a chance to regain her proper place and as Kovu grows, they develop a plan. Once Kovu is back with the lions at Pride Rock, he and Kiara can't seem to help but to fall in love. When Kovu's mother and the other lionesses attack, it is up to the young lovers to show both sides the error of their ways and make peace.
