Former tennis star Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) has it all; a beautiful young wife (Emily Mortimer), a new job with great money and greater potential for advancement and a father-in-law (Brian Cox) ready to open every door for him. But he also has a problem: a crush on sexy Nola (Scarlett Johansson) and an apparent inability to get her out of his head. As he struggles to keep his affair with Nola a secret from his family while simultaneously keeping her happy, mild-mannered Chris finds himself in a back-and-forth eerily reminiscent of a tennis match, and stops at nothing to score the final point.
