so one of the first lines in the show gets changed for obvious reasons. note that red indicates Uncut, and blue indicates Edited now you know.

Naruto: come on, were the hell are you?
Naruto: come on, were are you?


They took out the swearing, what a surprise.

Naruto: why didn't you stop me that day?



followed by...



Itachi: take the life of your best friend! you must kill him!
Itachi: you must defeat your best friend! you must destroy him!






and finally...

Sasuke: I spared your life on a whim
Sasuke: I spared you on a whim


so here we have a good idea of how Disney handles the word "kill" sadly they don't allow it.

Cut 8 Seconds
the scene of Sasuke drawing out his sword to kill Naruto was strangely cut, but everyone know about this one by now

More death cover ups

Nine Tales: Now then, who do you want to kill?

And that would be the last death cover up in this episode, or at least the last one I caught

Konohamaru transforms into a naked girl covered in smoke (Sexy Jutsu), the edited dub adds more smoke. To be honest, I wish Disney would be a bit nicer about this, I mean Cartoon Network has never laid a finger on this move, and it just makes me nervous about what will happen later on with the Sexy Girl on Girl Jutsu, assuming they even allow that bit to fly.

Soon after this little stunt Sakura punches Naruto for his claim of his even more pervy Ninjutsu, and the blood gets wiped.

Can't say I'm too surprised by this, after all Cartoon Network would likely have done the same thing.

And in addition to editing the nudity, we also get a bit of a change in dialogue to cover up some "naughty" words, or at least what Dinsey thinks is naughty

Konohamaru: Sexy jutsu
Konohamaru: Cutie jutsu


And after telling Konohamaru that he shouldn't use such childish Jutsu like that...

Naruto: I mean come on konohamaru is that all you got? Now step aside and get a load of my brand spankin new pervy ninjutsu
Sakura: right, like a new pervy ninjutstu
Naruto: I mean come on konohamaru is that all you got? Now step aside and get a load of my brand spankin new hottie ninjutsu
Sakura: right, like a new hottie ninjutstu


And last, but not least...

Sakura: What the heck is wrong with you, you pervy little dofus?
Sakura: What the heck is wrong with you, you little dofus?


Final Thoughts

So here we have the first Naruto Shippuden episode to air on Disney XD. overall I will say that editing wise, we get a bit more edited than what Cartoon Network was doing, but otherwise it's the same in terms of handling for the dub. overall this episode was handled just fine, just as expected of the Naruto dub.
