Zander is a very proud, spirited, gutsy little boy. He is very dignified when need be, and I constantly find myself laughing at the absurdity of such a little fellow demanding so much respect. Another (very effective) tactic Zander uses to avoid undesirable occurances such as hugs, (apart from his upstanding charisma and strength), is his utter good looks! Take a look:

Zander's pet hate is rain. On a rainy day one could expect to find Sir Zanzan curled up in a little fluffy ball in the dryest corner of his hutch, his little face stern and grumpy. I'd advise anyone against trying to pet young Mr Zanzan in this state - they'd be likely to get a fed up grunt and, in some cases, a bite. Zander doesn't bite very often, but when he does, he means business!
Zander gets along quite well with his brother Fergus, although Zander tends to lead the pack, and always gets first dibs on their seed bowl. He is rather like a father to sweet bumbly Fergus, and licks and cleans him in a very firm, paternal manner. If Fergus upsets his dignity, however, Zander will get very cross with him, and turn his back.
Another of Zander's favourite passtimes in running the obstacle course he's created in our backyard. He speeds across the lawn, hops through the fence, leaps into pots, and up onto the windowsill, and then practices agility back on the lawn, leaping and dodging and running circles. It's fascinating to watch. I'm sure if there were girl bunnies around this display of strength and agility would make them swoon, but because there aren't the only girl Zander has to impress is me, his mommy!
And everyone can be assured that he does. Every day. I love my Sir Zanzelot!
