WHAT IS YWAM?

Youth With A Mission or YWAM, is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus Christ personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission throughout the world. Founded in 1960 by Loren Cunningham, thousands have been involved worldwide in fulfilling Christ's command to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Mark 16:15)

It is now one of the largest interdenominational and international Christian ministries. Over 12,000 full-time workers are working at more than 750 centers in 135 nations.

Our many ministries fit into three main categories:
1. Evangelism - spreading God's message using creative tools.
2. Training - through our training programs we aim to better equip Christians to grow in their relationship with God and to serve others.
3. Mercy Ministries - showing God's love through practical assistance to help meet some of the practical and physical needs of about 2 million people annually.
