Chapter 17
aimers - yeah, that might be the number one reason why fanfics are not good for me. i always find some story right when i'm supposed to be doing a project or a paper with an urgent deadline. and though i'm sorry to prolong your procastination, i'm secretly very happy that my story is such a worthy distraction.
artic husky - yeeah, i'm a huge jack fan. i used to have a friend very similar to him, but he left *cough, cough, got kicked out of school and sent to boot camp in west virgina, cough, cough*. and i had a huge crush on him. kinda sad. and as far as tristan...well, i'm going to be lame and say "wait and see". yeah, i know, i suck. and the new chapter is here! hooray!
biiancahearts - well, obviously. who doesn't love cookies? but i'm very grateful that i rank up there with cookies, so thank you very much!
cherrydrop105 - yeah i know, i'm a devil. she promised to see him at the football game, and then didn't even look for him, but she was a little preoccupied. i'm glad you liked the prank, though it did seem a little too easy for her. granted, it did require quick thinking, but really she just paid off some guy to harass him. but whatever, it works, and i love jack aka crazy new character. and it's really fun for me to write this story from the perspective of the girl who treated him like crap then changed her mind. i can't even express how happy i am that people still love river and back her, even when she makes horrendous mistakes (which seems to be a frequent occurence). thank you for reviewing, and i hope this update was quick enough for you!
clumsy eloQuence 666 - i am always so relieved when someone tells me this fanfic is funny and not stupid and lame. and that the pranks are actually original and funny. you give me a major ego boost. but yeah, i totally agree. i hate those stories that are so dragged out and the main characters are so perfect. i hope at least in that i have succeeded, and that my characters are quite far from perfect or unoriginal. and don't worry, after this chapter it moves pretty quickly. river doesn't really sit on this sort of thing for long, and of course, she seems to be a magnet for crazy-insane happenings. thank you for reviewing, and much love to you!
dust mite bunny - psh, i'm game. let's get married. and i'm so psyched that this story is worthy of "favorite" status. annnyway, oh yeah, river (and myself *smiles sheepishly*) are virgins. and she's majoring in english. it's been mentioned before, but she's not very academic so don't be worried, it hasn't really been a key detail. and yeah, the whole reject-him-then-crush-on-him is just too good a plotline to pass up. i mean, how often does the main character (who's actually a girl) screw some guy over and then suddenly start crushing? definitely...unique at the least.
eliza-smiles - my story is wicked?! i am very flattered. and of course, it encourages me immensely that the story is still funny and has not yet puddled into lame-ness. much love to you, dear reviewer.
funsize - okay, that is officially my scariest review ever. 'sexy little lion man...RAH' haha, i seriously laughed like crazy. but as i was writing this, i was forced to ponder what i would do if i was dragged onto the field by the mascot and harassed. if it was jack, i might just go with it. you're right, he is a sexy little lion man. and here's the update, dear, and with more jack! yay!
hips don't lie - okay, i'll reply to your reviews in order, so that's why this paragraph will probably be crazy random. first of all, i'm glad river's a lovable but believable character. trust me, it's very hard to walk that fine line between craziness and complete lame insanity. manicotti's an italian dish (my favorite) with a tube like noodle filled with tomato sauce, cheese, spices, and meatball-ish stuff. verry good, very greasy, very satisfying. i highly recommend it. and you are a very sharp reader, to pick up on the j/c relationship and the fact that the second guy "randomly disappeared" while, in fact, i did have plans for him. river's around 5'4''ish, so a little on the short side. actually, the last girl to be raped thing was something i explained to a slumber party when there was a thunderstorm and we kept hearing noises. i wasn't scared at all, and when they asked why, i was just like "cause i'm the ugliest girl in the room, therefore last to be raped!" which, obviously, did not go over well. they were mostly horrified. and if you're good at poker, you can earn a lot. especially with guys, who won't allow themselves to lose to a girl, which means they just keep losing and losing 'cause they won't back down. and i agree about the picture, but unfortunately, not many models have pictures that embody river's personality. i was just content to find a picture that suited my mental image for how she looks, and not make her super-modelish and crazy skinny. and yeah, i definitely agree that tristan's pic is veeery good looking. though he kinda looks high. and jude's picture is proving to be a pain in the butt, but hopefully sometime over the xmas break i'll find a suitable picture. thanks for your reviews, my dear, and much love to you!
ind-fam - yeah, as written in the chapter, you get the reviewer award. perfect timing, perfect prediction. much kudos to you. so yeah, jealousy is playing a huge role now. and as the latest chapter shows, river can be an insanely jealous character. and i agree with your analysis on the aviation discussion. when i was writing it, it seemed awkward and i didn't like it, but let it slide. i'm going to double back in a day or two to fix that with a few other mistakes. as far as matt and tristan... for risk of spoiling the plot line i really shouldn't say anything, but after this chapter everything moves pretty quickly. thanks for the critique-you're definitely one of the only reviewers i have that actually analyzes the chapter (which i adore and love you for).
in.the.wardrobe - really, i couldn't agree more. i mean, you have to be flattered, because your story is on their favorites list or alert list, but really, just review! not that hard! as you just demonstrated, which makes me love you.
lilatluv - wow...five in the morning? i hope you're an insomniac or something, cause i hardly think my story's good enough to lose that much sleep! it's sleep, girl! you should try it! it's the shit! thank you for reviewing, despite your braindead-ed-ness.
mira61 - really? a real life river? wow... really cool and yet kinda scary at the same time. and it totally amuses me that you were eavesdropping on them because she was river-ish. and, yet again, it's awesome the story is still lovable and getting better. thank you very much, my dear!
okey-dokes. - so matt over tristan, eh? we'll see (author cackles evilly). anyway, so glad you liked this chapter. it was one of those that i knew was either going to do amazing or flop. it's just been kicking around in my head so long i wasn't sure if i did it justice. muchas gracias!
rosetintedsoul - wow, so you're riverish? cool, but kinda scary. actually make that very scary, and i hope you don't ever pay off a mascot to sexually harass a friend. i have a feeling that jude is the only character that would go over well with, and obviously he was a little pissed at first. and i'm glad you love all the characters, personally (being the author) i'm pretty much in love with all of them and i just hope i'm conveying them well enough so that readers love them too, so it comforts me greatly to know that they're converting to paper well. and yeah, cinna and river have a very different relationship, since cinna can be rather motherly and patronizing sometimes, but i kinda feel like river needs a reasonable and stable friend. otherwise she might be in the clouds all the time. and the update's finally here, i hope you enjoy, and thanks for reviewing! *mwah, mwah* (in case you didn't catch that, that's the dorky expression for that lame kiss in midair on both sides of the face...weird...thing...i'll stop talking)
sally can wait - oh, you so get the 'committed reviewer' award. i didn't expect you to go anonymous, but you definitely are super amazing. i had the hardest time picking matt's picture, because of course, he needs to be cute but not too cute. but yes, i agree with you. the picture is pretty great. and it's better, because at first i was like "it's got potential" but the more i kept looking at it, the more it grew on me. so yeah. and i agree about mustache stubble, but what can you do? sacrifices must be made, unless i tracked down the guy, demanded he shave, then take another picture. which i wouldn't mind, since, as discussed, said guy is very hot, but i'm afraid i don't have enough time to go uber stalker. "explode" and "poo" happen to be the best words in the english language, and they speak to me as well. i adore jack. seriously. i want to marry him, which is messed up since he's fictional and i invented him. and i'm jealous, i totally want spidey senses. i would definitely let a spider bite me on purpose if i had any chance of getting them. and to finish up this extremely long-ass review response, though vietnamese insults are hard to top, you are a fecaphiliac wookie, thus entailing "poo" without actually saying "poo", and referencing star wars.
starxcookie - ha, of course you're forgiven. not that i could stay angry at you for long, my dear. and i'm glad you loved that prank, i was slightly concerned it might be going a little tiny bit too far, considering the whole student body saw it, but yay. and much love to guys who have no shame, they're really some of the best people to hang out with!
vineta - i'm so glad you like it! thank you so much for reviewing (you're a dear, really and truly) and much love to you!

Chapter 16
Adora Bell - yeah... i might have the biggest thing for caeson of all my characters. i think it's "girl who loves badass" part of me. and matt's your favorite? yeah, he's the popular reviewer choice. and i'm glad the pranks aren't lame or anything. much love to you for reviewing-peace out.
Alexi - hmm, matt, huh? i agree with you though, he's definitely more sincere, and tristan is rather conscious of his looks. and your wish is granted, cinna and river are tentatively returned to peace. much love to you for reviewing!
Artic Husky - yeah, potty humor and sexual innuendos are great, but i try to lightly sprinkle them into the story. having a story overflowing with them usually gets old, unless they're super clever (which i am not). but yeah, i love the peta thing. i am so jealous of river. i've always wanted to do that. the bat? not so jealous. i hate bats. and it is very good to hear that you are undecided between the two leading men. i have a couple of reviewers that are very opinionated on that matter, and it is comforting to know that some people don't loathe one of the two.
cherrydrop105 - awesome, i'm so glad that you like it, and you are super amazing for coming back the next day to review...because i would probably be too lazy to do that for someone else. anyway, i share the inability to talk to guys thing. most people say i'm pretty clever, but around guys i'm either the babbling idiot or completely silent (which makes them think i'm prideful and bratty). and you join the faithful matt followers. and that scene when she blabs about the kissing thing was soo hard for me to write, partially because i wanted it to be serious but slightly funny, but mostly because i'm retarded and get way too involved with my characters and didn't want to do that to matt. and i hope you agree that river definitely stepped up the game with her last prank. much, much, much love to you for reviewing!
dn dn - hey, i'm so glad you like it! thanks so much for reviewing, and i hope the update was soon enough for you!
elisefey - first of all, you are super awesome for reviewing, and you are my latest review diva. and it's very comforting that river's tangents are funny, because that tends to be a character quirk that either works well or just really really sucks. and yeah...not *those* roman candles, though that would be a pretty sweet date. and -personal opinion here- i think almost all girls are at least partial to drummers. i mean, hey! they're drummers! oh, and by the way, your editing seriously helped me. i reread my chapters several times before posting and i almost always miss the mistakes that make me sound the stupidest. very quickly after receiving your reviews i backtracked through my work again and corrected my errors. you are definitely my hero. and secretly, i agree with you on the jude thing. i know that the votes tallied to mean that jude was least developed, but he was already fully developed from my point of view. he's very laidback and takes things in stride, and is never truly angry (not yet, at least). if you notice, i didn't really develop him more as the story went on, i just had him appear more often. hmm..okay..i continue on...oh yes, very good that bailey and nate are outrageous but not over the top. that was one part i was particularly worried about. and you so predicted the jude and cinna thing, so you get the reviewer award. and now you're caught up. as far as matt and tristan, naturally i can't give away anything, but your impressions are pretty accurate. it's still sort of the battle between the loyal kind-of loser and the really hott but conscious of being really hott guy.
Liz - and you are fucking awesome for reviewing, and i know that i love you. much love to you.
MANDY! - ew, ew, and EW! i don't like bats at all, and though a dead one is better than a live one, bats are just freaking and i would definitely be scarred too. and i'm glad you like tristan! personally...i think he's pretty hott. muchas gracias mi amor!
natalie - okay, you lost me on the pms thing, but i'm glad you like it! thanks for reviewing!
pixxidust - i'm glad you like it! thanks for reviewing!
right or ryn - yeah, i know. maybe i got a tad bit carried away on the cheese wiz thing, but it's totally my worst nightmare ever. and i used to threaten to do it to my little sister. maybe i was feeling slightly malicious by doing it to noah, but hey. oh well. and you're so right about guys doing those stupid things to impress each other. what really entertains me is when they think they're impressing girls with their dumbass stunts. and as for snoop doggy dogg...seriously, it might really be a ringtone. i'm like 90% sure it is one. and you're right, jude's been kicking river's ass in the prank department, but i hope you agree that in the latest chapter, river really stepped it up a notch. haha, you're so right about the "nice balls" thing. as i was writing it, i sat there thinking "so predictable...yet i don't care!" and i so hate bats. i considered the crazy vampire tangent, but considering she was half asleep and scared out of her mind, she wasn't doing much thinking at all. she just kind of repeats over and over again "bat! bat! bat!" and i get to laugh at you even more over the matt thompson thing. i mean, talk about coincidence. well, i did pick what sounded like an ordinary name, but i definitely didn't guess that someone would actually know a matt thompson. and i saw the south park over thanksgiving. i agree, it wasn't the best, and there was no kyle or cartman, but it was great to make fun of those cliche sport movies. and i agree with the reviewer response thing. i mean, you guys put out the effort to review my work, so i'll put out equal effort to review your review, sort of. anyway, i think it's polite and i like talking to you guys, because normally a lot of the reviews crack me up anyway!
sally can wait - say what? censorship in the media is frickin hilarious!!! anyway, you're right about the review thing. i checked and there aren't any chapters available for you to review. but hey, you can just add your comments on the next one if you don't hate me for being so retarded and screwing up the chapters so bad. well, i might let you fictionally have noah. i'll let loose a not-so-big secret, river doesn't end up with him, and unless something changes soon, i don't think he ends up with anyone. maybe i'll indirectly mention a sally. a sally that shakes the earth with her overwhelming obesity.
smudged lines - yes, finally. drama time. oh the fun of building the drama and mucho tension. and it makes me laugh reading your review, because at first it's "yay tristan!" and then it's "*sigh* matt!" so i'm glad there are some reviewers torn between the two. much love to you for reviewing!

Chapters 14-15
aLersIe - well then happy birthday! we scorpios kick ass. i'm really glad you like the story, thanks for reviewing!
alexa - yeah, i suffer from the same i-can't-capitalize names syndrome. i know jude and cinna's relationship isn't very romantic, but i sort of like it that way. they almost act like best friends with benefits. i just like throwing in a couple that's normal without crazy drama. plus, all you romantics aren't being satisfied, which means it's all building up for whenever river has romantic escapades.
artic husky - yeah, i'm trying to keep it unpredictable as long as reasonably possible. i like the fact that half the reviewers root for matt, and the other half for tristan. but everyone feels bad for matt, and i'm no exception. his life kind of sucks. and it kills me to write how river and cinna are drifting apart somewhat. i just want to kick river in the shin, and i'm the writer, so i can only imagine how you guys feel. hahaha! tristan corndog! yeah...that's pretty dirty, period. pretty sad, because this chapter's humor was based entirely off of dirty innuendos and dirty potty humor.
braincelldiffusion - i agree! if i read one more story about a girl who cuts her wrists directly after a guy shows interest, i'm going to kick myself in the face. this site needs a few more humor stories to balance out all the angsty-ness. thanks for the review!
brownbread - yeah i know, the beginning sucks. i think when i finish the story, i'll go back and tweak it some to make it suck less, but thanks for reading all the way through. i'm glad it's still unpredictable. when i started writing the story, i just decided i was going to make the readers just buckle up and read. cliches can be fun (my other story is outrageously cliche), but i just wanted to go in another direction. and yeah, it's somewhat autobiographical, like i wrote in my last author's note. and i'm working on incorporating more cinna and jude, which is hard because river's kind of got her head stuck up her butt at the moment, so... and i'm glad you like the dialogue and flow, that's definitely what i work hardest to achieve. thanks for the review!
chocolatemusic - i'm glad you like the story, and i'm glad river's not overbearingly quirky. i'm continuing as quickly as possible! thanks for the review!
clooless - i'm really glad you like the story! thanks for reviewing!
dark alleys and cable cars - haha, maybe you should keep some windex ready for your poor computer screen. and i love the fact that your dad's a psycho at sporting events. normally when i go to games, i spend more time watching the rabid fans than watching the actual game. and maybe i'll put the warning in the beginning of the story, a few other people have suggested other warnings as well.
day2dreamer - haha, i'm really glad you like it, and i hope you didn't wake up your sister. try getting some sleep! the rift between river and cinna is driving me crazy, and i'm the writer. i can't wait for them to reconcile, and it's killing me to drag it out. i'm glad you like both tristan and matt, and i totally agree that nate is a freak. i don't like nate. at all. and i'm glad you don't think that cinna and jude are lacking. and yeah, i'm having a ton of fun! it just makes me guilty when i don't update within two weeks (umm, yeah, sorry 'bout that!)
dinva - well, there aren't that many chapters left before we find out what direction the story's going. i'm really glad you like the story! thanks for reviewing!
driew - i'm glad you did well on your test, but you suck because you don't like shakespeare. oh well. you review my story, so you don't suck very much. haha, river and a cult member would be pretty fun. i'll keep that in mind!
eyes of fire - i'm really glad you like the story! keeping the story funny is my biggest challenge, because it's taking a more serious turn, but she's still river, so i have to work to balance out the storyline and the humor. i'm glad it's working! thanks for reviewing!
funsize - yeeah, i definitely want to meet your friends! and don't heckle me! i'm hurrying! thanks for reviewing!
ind-fam - yeah, i had already made the list of characteristics, traits, and planned growth. it's just sometimes hard to remember to incorporate it all, because sometimes i get caught up with writing river. plus, slipping that into a one-perspective story can be quite a challenge, i hope i'm doing alright. yeah, i like jude too. he kinda seems like the sort of guy that everyone knows but no one really writes in. and i love giving her guy friends that she actually interacts well with, namely jude and noah. this is really the only story i'm working on, but thanks for reviewing it so faithfully! you're my review diva.
ladiebug - glad you like it! thanks for reviewing!
lane - thanks, i'm glad you like the story and that it's remaining funny. i think the beginning chapters were funnier, but they had less plot, so i'm busy trying to balance plot and humor now. thanks for reviewing!
lilxseeker - i'm so glad you like it, and i swear, i'm trying to update more often. i love the penalty glass kiss, just because i love hockey and i stalk the penalty box because i adore hockey players. and i really loved the scene with river beating on noah. poor noah, he and matt are always being screwed over.
luv me like no other - i love you like no other. thanks for reviewing, and glad you like hot harry potter. it's a fact, girls do stalk boys. i just thought it would be fun to throw a stalkee into a story. yeah, and river is extremely hyper, though she has her down time, normally in which she's bitchy and pissed off. glad you like the prank, but the best pranks are yet to come! yay for pranking!
MANDY! - wow, i had no idea the story was worthy of sleep deprivation. i'm glad you like it! thanks for reviewing, and i hope you really don't die of anxiety!
mira61 - matt and river, eh? sorry, i'm about to kill off matt. just kidding! anyway, hope you liked her siblings!
ovch - yeah, i know. it's sad, because i'm the writer and i direct everything going on, but i was so super pissed at cinna and noah because matt found out. and jude is pretty sweet. i think i may have a problem with developing crushes on all my characters, because i pretty much adore noah too. and i'm sorry, but you can't kick tristan in the balls. he's a fictional character. but hey, if he ever trips and falls on his face, i'll put your name in parenthesis, and then you can feel like you've indirectly caused him pain. and i'm working on the bipolar thing. i don't have any semblence of a plot yet for that story, and the only character i've really considered is the main one. i'm going to keep that story brewing on the back burner while i'm still trying to keep this one from self combusting.
right or ryn - haha, if you'd like it, i'll have a piano fall on him, and then matt's twin brother will show up and take his place. sound good? anyway, i'm really glad you like the story. i don't know if snoop dogg has that exact ringer, though when i was looking for ringtones i definitely heard a few that were very close to it. and there's plenty of time for river and bailey to duke it out, i swear. and i know, i soooo wish i had the guts to throw a quarter down a butt crack. i don't have the cajones either, though if i was feeling a little hypomania and some hot guys were egging me on, i'm sure i would. and all the pranks in the story work, i know, i've used them in my arsenal. tristan does have front teeth, fortunately. can you imagine kissing a guy without front teeth? eewwww. and it seriously entertains me that you know a matt thompson. maybe you should go ask him out. as for impotence...it's actually kind of sad. i always say "impotent" instead of "impudent" because i'm stupid, and when i was writing the story i was trying to figure out how to spell it, which resulted in a trip to which resulted in me laughing my head off because i realized what i'd really been saying all these years. and i'm not offended or anything, but bipolar is like having uncontrollable moods that change really quickly. most frequently, i change from being horrible depressed to being completely wired and psychotically hyper in the matter of a few minutes. but mostly it just sucks, because it gives me the side effect of insomnia and anxiety attacks, which suck ass. i love river's picture too. she's pretty, but not overly so. she's more like cute, and she's not really skinny. she's more curvy, i suppose. it works out well. and i flipping love south park!
sally can wait - uhmm, no. her sister is fifteen, and the other one has graduated from grad school. might be a little weird if tristan was making out with them, but i definitely laughed when i read that. and the heavyweights reference! i love heavyweights! and i'm glad you have converted from "peter" to "matt", and i wish i could meet your frankenstein friend. i definitely had to reread your review a few times because i was like "...wait, what?!" and i'm glad tristan has earned the "smexy" title, though i can't comment on their chemistry. i guess you'll have to wait and see. and fartknocker is a pretty good insult, but that doesn't change the fact that you lie awake at night in your bed eating your own boogers.
smudged lines - don't worry about it, i always forget to review stories i read regularly. being 18 feels peculiarly like being 17, but go figure. and yes, girly river appears again. i have a feeling she's going to appear a lot more frequently from now on. and i feel so bad for matt too! he definitely gets screwed, like, regularly. but it's good you also like tristan. most reviewers love one and hate the other, which is fun because i like to see the rift between reviews, but it's nice to have a few people that don't necessarily despise the other side of the triangle. and cinna and jude don't really have a dramatic relationship, but as soon as they reconcile we'll see more of their interactions.
starrymelody - i'm glad you like it! i'm not really sure a publisher would come within thirty feet of it, but at least i'm enjoying writing it, and you guys are enjoying reading it. and i think you should go out tonight, get chocolate cake, and throw it at a random person's window. i'm sure it's very stress relieving. thanks for reviewing!
starxcookie - two brownies to you for reviewing! whoever the guy she ends up with is gonna be a lucky guy...let's just hope he's a very patient guy!
tears.of.night - hey, i'm really glad you like the story! i'm churning it out as quick as i can! thanks for reviewing!
trishcbury - eh...inches away awkwardly. just kidding! haha, i laughed really hard at that review. sorry i'm not a boy. there's not much i can do about that.

Chapters 13-14
Alexi - Thank you, I updated the chapter late at night and when I read your review I went back through...of course, my reaction was more or less "was I drunk or something?!" And yes, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, and Oliver Wood are much sexier names than Tristan O'Connelly, but they are in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, so...yeah. Self explanatory hotness.
Arctic Husky - Definitely. Lack of boy savvy is irresistible...I hope...and yeah, obviously this story has the same effect on me. Take for example my five page paper I should have been working on while writing this chapter...oh well! And Tristan's personality is slowly being revealed. We're going to get to know him at the same rate that River does, so we'll go through a few awkward dates before they start to really get to know each other. And the whole boy-can't-handle-girls-crying thing drives me crazy! I just had to put it in the story!
Driew - Hey, glad I could distract you, hope you didn't fail your test or anything! Apparently popular vote suggests this story is best read in the wee hours of the night anyway.
dustmitebunny - Haha! Amazing. Glad I could make you snort pepsi. I actually really loved that line too. I was sitting in the cafeteria doing something and kind-of thinking about the story, then that line popped in my head and I started laughing. I had to write it on my hand so I wouldn't forget. There's just the small matter of if anyone saw it written on my hand...it's not normally the sort of thing one writes on their hand...
ind-fam - I cannot express how grateful I always am for your reviews. You're like my reviewing diva or something. It's definitely difficult for me to infuse other perspectives into the story since it is a one pov story and River's not really one to analyze other people's motives. But your review was helpful, and it reminded me to rethink all of the character's thoughts on all the plot twists I have planned out. You're an amazing literary analyst.
lilxseeker - Hey I'm glad you like it! I'm trying to update as quick as I can, I swear!
luv me like no other - Your review was so encouraging! It comforts me when a readers says that they read through the whole story like that. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if reviewers only review because they're loyal. River's...a character, definitely. I think I would have fun with her, but at the same time, she would probably get on my nerves once in a while. Anyway, thanks for your review! You definitely gave me an much needed ego boost.
Luv-TU - Glad you like it! Thanks for reviewing!
ovch - I'm so enthused that this story still holds appeal. My worst fear is that River just crosses the line and gets horrendously annoying or something. And yes, River's return prank is amazing. The first one isn't so great, but she's got one in the works that is pretty awesome. And yeah, I feel really bad for Matt. River really did just assault him with that crying fit. He definitely was not prepared. And as far as Matt and River? My lips are sealed...
patd-rox-my-sox - Thanks so much, I live to entertain! Thanks for your review!
Sally Can Wait - Yeah, 14 has definitely been my favorite so far. I loved writing it. I was actually sad when it was finished and I had to post it. And, as I already mentioned in one of your reviews, I burst out laughing when I read about "Oh, Peter!" Nooo, not Peter. Matt. And Tristan, well, he is trying to impress her, though I agree his aura was a little weird.
splotchy - You get the award this chapter, as already mentioned. Very good job, I even tried to slightly dissuade you. And I totally agree, at this point sometimes I see the main character's name, get annoyed, and switch to another story. Really, I have always loved the name James, but after reading so many fictions on this site...man. James's just crawl out of the literary romantic woodwork!
starxcookie - Yes, hot Harry Potter might just have a thing for River, it's just questionable if he has as much of a thing for her as she does for him.
Trishcbury - Good! Glad you can still summon enthusiasm after chapter and chapter of madness! Thanks for the review!

Chapters 10-11
Alexi - Yeah, but the flow is here, and it brings hot Harry Potter with it! I wouldn't worry though, River will remain River despite any boys that may dare to impose upon her Riverness. And I know, I sneak attacked you guys with the hockey thing. And Nate concerned? Hmm...maybe. Wait and see!
Artic Husky - Hah, I hope not. I definitely would not wish that on anyone, especially not to a reviewer. But hey, I'd like to think that guys find our lack of boy savvy somewhat endearing. Even though I'm probably totally wrong.
biiancahearts - You can have him if you can fight off Cinna, which would probably be harder than it sounds. She is tall, after all.
dustmitebunny - Lameness excused, I'm thrilled whenever a reviewer tells me it's funny. Sometimes I don't know if other people find my sense of humor funny or not.
ind-fam - No, hot Harry Potter isn't a red herring, but don't worry. There are no knights in shining armor. And yes, I'm very challenged with making a male character to balance River out. Thanks for your advice, I'm definitely using it. And your wish is granted. I know the story line hasn't been strong so far, but it's starting to really build up now. I promise.
jasmina - Heh, we all know the guys love klutzy girls...right? Right? Okay, I hope so. Thanks for reviewing!
Luv-TU - Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you like it!
ovch - Ashley isn't a lame name. Be glad you're not an Ursula or a Gertrude. And no, hot Harry Potter and Matt are not brothers, though that actually would be really funny.
raidersofthelostheart - Yeah, I know. I'm really awful about putting off schoolwork too. Glad you like the story!
rocky19 - Yeah..sorry I'm so slow! I've had a buttload of tests this week!
Sally Can Wait - Haha, wow. I'm really impressed with your method of meeting Robert, and if you don't try it, you should at least write a story about what would happen if you did try it. And I think River would mind if she ended up as an old maid.
shorty4surey - I hope you aren't really pissing yourself...that would be bad and slightly disgusting...thanks for the review! Glad you enjoy it!
smudged lines - I'm glad that Jude and River's chemistry is working well. I think chemistry between friends is as important as chemistry between..you know. Romantic interests. But I'm not excluding the possibility that Jude is a potential romantic interest. They definitely are kickass together.
Trishcbury - Agreed! I hate these perfect characters, or characters whose faults can be easily pardoned. River is rude. Period. No justification. At least, that's what I'm aiming for. I'm also trying to add faults to the characters of my minor characters as well, though that's a little harder to produce.

Chapters 8-9
Alexi - Thank you for the review! I'm so glad you like it! And I sincerely hope you didn't actually piss on yourself. Though I probably would laugh a little. And thanks for recommending to your friends (really really big cheesy smile here). You're super-awesome! (yeah so maybe I watch South Park obsessively). And it's really starting to dawn on me that it really isn't that romantic so far. Don't worry. It's coming...soon, I hope.
Arctic Husky- Haha, I'm the same way. I wrote this chapter when I was supposed to be writing a ten page research paper on the menstruation cycle. Thanks for the review!
bytes83 - Wow, thanks! I'm glad it's your favorite, I'll try to keep cranking it in reasonable time.
GAH - Thank you! I'm trying to update more often, I've just got a really insane schedule right now. Advice to everyone, don't take 18 credits in your freshman year unless you don't need or want a life.
ind-fam - Thanks for your reviews! I'm glad you recognized it as a crossroads, I considered it as one in my head while I was writing that chapter. And I'm sorry, I know Matt didn't show up at all in this chapter. He will return. Oh yes, he will return.
Mira61 - Thank you, oh faithful one!
ovch - Yeah I despise Nate too. He's based on someone I know who thinks I'm still in love with him from freshman high school year.
Sally Can Wait - Yeah, I suppose Matt could pass as a Peter...sad. Peter's aren't usually well thought of. And I think River might give you a run for your money if you got into a catfight. She is very scrappy, after all. And I am so freakin' glad I'm not the only one who crushes fantastically on people I don't know. Oh yeah, Emily happens to be an amazing name. After all, I share the name of the author of Wuthering Heights! Not Pride and Prejudice, but still! Wuthering Heights! Yeah!
smudged lines - Yeah, knowing you, you might know. I definitely wouldn't hold it above you at all.
splotchy - I'm glad River isn't irritating yet. I'm desperately trying to avoid it, because even the best writers fall into that trap.
Trishcbury - Okay, thanks for the advice. I think I am going with plot 2. I keep thinking more about it, and I think I've decided plot 2 would just be a better storyline anyway.

Chapters 3-7
biiancahearts - I'm sorry, River's not lesbian. But if she was, she'd marry you, because you review and therefore are awesome. Unfortunately, hot Harry Potter would not marry you, because he's already set to marry me. That's the joy of being the creator...it gives me a fantastic God complex.
fabarati - Jude's on the way! I swear, he is! For some reason, I'm just having problems inserting him in places where he can be himself. River's a bit of an attention hog.
FamousOneLiners - Thank you for the review, dear! I'm glad you love it!
ind-fam - Hope that was a good incident for you. You definitely are a better person than I am, I would be sorely tempted. But I'm glad for you, River definitely needs to realize that kissing is not a necessary requirement of a boyfriend. I'm trying to post fast! I swear!
JENNYP - I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I'll try to not make the wait so long...except for this next chapter. That'll be a wait.
ovch - You need an award. You are an awesome reviewer, and you predict the plot almost well enough to completely steal my thunder. And if you are River's twin, I want to meet you! I hope you aren't River's twin in the way that you can be an insensitive bitch, because that would suck. River's...yeah. She has a tendency. Oh, and Bailey's essentially an idiot. You know, stuck so far up her own butt it's not even possible for her to ever seen sunlight again. Yeah, I may have just spoiled the plot some, but it's true. She's a retard. Oh, and your wish was definitely granted. Hoover has returned in full force!
Mira61 - My first reviewer, and therefore still my favorite! I hope you don't hate me, since the Jude-Cinna thing is complicated. Don't worry. I'll be a spoiler right now and say that something Jude-Cinna-River related is on its way in the next chapter (or maybe the one after next, I'm not entirely sure yet)
MOORIE! - I'm glad you love my story. That actually is very encouraging. I'm sorry I'm not updating very quickly. I know, I suck.
Phoenix-of-the-Goldenrose - I hope you didn't die when you snorted root beer...because that would mean you would be unable to read and review. I'm glad you enjoy it, and I hope your mom really doesn't think you're a psycho.
rocky19 - Loving you! Thanks for the review!
Sally Can Wait - By the way, I am fictional. Hah, sorry, retard moment. Anyway, 32 is a little short of 9482958 reviews, but we do with what we can. Unfortunately I cannot read the YMLWDTL series because I am in college in a rural area and I checked the library and the bookstore and they don't have it, so I can't get it unless I drive to another city, which I can't do, because I'm killing myself to get my schoolwork done, have a social life, and of course, most importantly, write YDC. Jude is...sigh. A boy. Even I don't know what's going on with him. He's very secretive. Oh, and River is...eh...insensitive? Bitchy? Rude? Mean? Only occasionally, but hey, give her a break. She was drunk. And I'm glad you do a dance in your head. I think everyone should dance in their head.
sapphire-shine89 - God, what is wrong with me? I don't know...sigh. Sometimes I just don't know. Anyway, I'm glad that you are sleep deprived due to my story. That's always a good sign. Peace.
Secretive - Hey! I'm reading When You Own the Universe right now! It's on my favorite list! As soon as I finish it, I'm going to write you a big fat review. And I'm glad you are a fellow facial hair lover too. Most of my friends make fun of me, but hey, there's something very desirable about a little scruff. And River's got that way about her, I think. Normal, but completely unique. Attractive, but not skinny or hott. And I'm glad you agree with her thoughts, I spend a lot of time trying to make her thought process natural, easy to understand, and most importantly, what a girl would really think. And I would just like to give a shout out to the other girls like me who have a butt and curves. Boys like us curvy anyway.
smudgedlines - I hope that was enough squirming for you! And I'm glad you think that makes her normal. I thought so too. I got the idea because one of my teachers was telling a story about how she liked a guy for four years (she said he looked like Sting! How sweet is that!), and then finally went out with him, he was a bad kisser, and she dumped him after two dates. And I thought she was horrible, but after I thought about it, I realized that I would at the very least be very tempted to do the same.

Chapters 1-2
Mira61 - Aww. My first (and thereby favorite) reviewer. So close to my heart, thank you so much. You are the shit.

Sally Can Wait - Yes! You are amazing! And I will continue to update, if for no other reason that I cannot bear to have your death on my conscience. And I'm afraid you can't marry the story. I'm very sorry. And yes, I'm going to find that story and read it on your recommendation.

Reds55 - I'm so glad you like it! You make me so happy by reviewing!

x shadow - Thank you for reviewing! I'm very glad you like River. River likes you too.
