Biography
Welcome to my biography. I guess im'a start from the beginnin'. Well as a child i was born into a poor household, but it didn't matter we were happy. My family consists of my mama (Linda), my pops (John aka Jackie), my genius brothers (Kenzie and Jason), n Lindsay. Around the age of 3 or 4, still a todler, my father was in a catostrophic car accident. This cost him his ability to work and even play with his own kids. Therefore my da never got to do all the fatherly things a dad does wit his kids but thats all good. Next to happen in "Migh Life" to happen was my mama becoming ill. It all started when i started school still only 5 years old with the constant worry in my mind of my parents wellfare and also the consern of weather I'ma end up homeless or not, due to lack of finances.
Now In school I was surpassing all of my peers by moving on to my brothers homework wich he found hard n i found incredabley easy though he was a grade ahead of me. As you can more than likely tell already I'm not much when it comes to spelling and punctuation, but hey as long as ya know wat I'm sayin its all good bi. Anyway, so after telling me that i was a mathematical genius teachers began being nice to me all the time, n truthfully it was pissin me the fock off. I mean i dont want no special treatment, really tho it ain't fair. Well anyway, all through grades 1 ta 4 i got in a load of fights and pulled off a pretty good average of wins but then again who cares about elemetary school fights. Alas the day came while in the fourth grade when i discovered NOFX the band that started my journey through all the greatest punk bands that ever played, not these Simple Blands n New Found Borings, i mean the really stuff bi. Actually it probably started with listenin to Nirvana n Snoop Dogg at the age of 7 ( pretty young fer dat eh bi?), so as i listen to the well thought out words of Jello Biafra, Fat Mike, Billy Corgan, and Jim Lindberg I began to see what I wanted to do.... make music.
Starting off listening to great groups/artists like Nirvana, NOFX, Snoop Dogg, Sex Pistols, The Smashing Pumkins, and Dead Kennedys lead me to find other classic and excesively talented groups/artists such as Bob Marely, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Peter Tosh and hundreds of others. I think its safe to say that i enjoys all shapes and forms of music, though I can't take the sound of these danm boy/girl bands singin about the same thing over n over n over again, i mean c'mon yes we ya got problems with the love life whats the next subject bi. I don't think of myself as a great artist er nothin but i sures ta hell thinks im better than these copy n paste MJ's, n a hell lot more original then them.
Okay, back to the Bio. So all through school wearing my baggy torn up threads i was picked on from time to time but I quickly put an end to that by pounding the face of the poor bi who cut me up. I wasn't classed as a loser... or maybe I was... don't really know or care for that matter ha ha. In junior high i got myself a bass because it has become one my favorite instruments, i mean i LOVE the bass. Unfortunately i sucked at bass haha, and at singing but that don't matter all ya really need is the attitude, the style, the spirit, whatever ya want to call it. Yep, so i did that whole junior high thing n every minute of it was a pain in the ass the teachers, the kids, the work, but aw well its all good, got to appreciate all experiences. Also during the end of elementary and the beginning of junior high my parents won some lawsuit n we suddenly were easy going n had some good flow, but i guess i was supposed to have a poor childhood cause we lost it all within 4 years. Hahaha, what'll happen next eh?
Now onto a pretty weird part of my life. In December 1998 I noticed my wrists were really hurting bad which then spread throughout my body, i didn't know what was going on, everyone told me it was growing pains so i jus told'em off. I went to the hospital n they told me I had to see ruemitologist (joint specialist) in Halifax. Once i seen this doctor she tells me i have arthritis, which explained why my entire body was hurting. After doing jus about every blood test known to man and most other test they could do in the hospital they told me I had Lupus... I laughed hahaha. Then after more tests and a study don't by a bunch of universities on me they tell me one hell of a freak of nature, because 11 year old males don't get lupus... I'm the first as they tell me. So after about a year more of testing now almost 13 they tell me i have connective tissue disorder, which really sucks cause that causes my to have the arthritis (2 kinds), symptoms of Lupus, and nephritis ( inflamation of the kidney), which also causes kidney stones which also SUCK.
So now we move on to the high school years which are still going on, half done really, so i'll tell ya the first half for now. Well in the 10th grade not a whole lot happened, you know, probably what all of you went through or is gonna go through n the 10th grade. By this time I've been toking up wit the boys for about a year after finding out that its the only medicine that treats the arthritis well. So naturally you understand me when I say that year was a little cloudy, me still bein a rooky n all. Still not precieved as much by the people, I started my only band called R.N.A. (Respect No Authority) which to everyone in it wasn't much of a band, but we managed to write and record our first original within 15 minutes of our first actually jam session though we had no drummer, the song was as most would call noise-core n was titled "Help Me My Penis Is Stuck In A Clamp". This waste of time which was also awsome fun consisted of myself, Christian Coombes, on vocals, accompanied by Johnothan Kanary who also sang a bit and played guitar, Lisa Brown on guitar, and Michael McIvor a.k.a Paully on the bass. Yea... we sucked but man it was fun, especially our cover of Eric Claptons, Layla.
I began writin more and more songs, but i had no band n I still don't, but i still wish to form one. My brother Kenzie and his friend, and mine, Mackie began to rap here n my basement and this concept amazed me, and one day i wrote my very first rap song called "The X-man Revolution" which sucked... Mark Morrison (aka Mark C) said it was really good for a start... maybe it was, but i hated it. So I continued to write new stuff which still sucked, but as I wrote more and more I began to enjoy my own lyrics, i always liked my brothers beats so i used his to practice with, now i use his to make full songs which you can hear today. The more I wrote though the more doubt i received from my peers.... naturally. Eventually I re-named myself X-ist instead of X-man, its more original, under my new name I began to make songs that i liked so I figured others would like them too, because of this and how i want people all around the world to hear what i have to say I tried to get my songs out as far as they could make it which so far ain't very far. I plan to record my first album independently, mainly because it doesn't seem like Fat Wreck Chords or Shady/Aftermath are signin me anytime soon. But o'well im'a real mc speakin word of infinity, better appretiate n don't underestimate.
I'm comin' at the world with Jah by my side. F*CK an army of one I'm an infinite sun.
