IWF (Insane Wrestling Federation) - www.iwfwrestling.com

Sabu is the current IWF Heavyweight Champion. He has been the champion since last August (except for one month when the title was held up, but he quickly won it back).

Who’s he going to face next for the title?

Well that was determined at the last IWF show on June 14 at VFW Hall in Southfield, Michigan. They had a tournament to determine the #1 Contender.

In the first round, (JCW Champion) Vampiro returned to the IWF and defeated CashFlo.

Yukon Braxton beat 2 Tuff Tony.

Cpl. Robinson beat "Death Dealer" Tommy Starr.

Necro Butcher beat Flamin’ Damon Starr in under a minute.

In the Semifinals, Vampiro beat Yukon Braxton

and (in a brutal match that included flourescent light tubes), Necro Butcher beat Cpl. Robinson .

Then, in the Finals, Necro Butcher defeated Vampiro.

(So, Necro is the new #1 contender. I would’ve liked to see Vampiro win. I think a Sabu vs. Vampiro match could draw a lot of people, but Necro pulled off the win with his "Asian Spike" submission move.)

In non-tournament matches,

"The Future"Chris Sabin beat American Kickboxer.

Custom Made Man & Otto Bahn (a midget wrestler/manager) beat Truth Martini & Steve Nixon when Nixon turned on Martini.

(IWF Cruiserweight Champion) Loverboy Steve beat Danny Daniels.

The next IWF show is Friday, July 26 at Knight of Columbus Hall in Hamtramck. It will be their biggest show ever! It is actually going to be recorded for nationwide DVD release.

In the main event, Sabu defends the IWF Title against Necro Butcher in an "I-Quit" Match.

The Lynch Mob: Cpl. Robinson, Cash Flo, & 2 Tuff Tony face Colt Cabana, C.M. Punk, and Chris Hero.

Loverboy Steve defends the IWF Cruiserweight Title against Steve Nixon.

Danny Daniels faces Truth Martini.

Yukon Braxton and Breyer Wellington will also be there.

Other wrestlers that may be on the card include Vampiro, ICP (Insane Clown Posse), and CZW’s Backseat Boyz: Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere.

XICW (Xtreme Intense Championship Wrestling) http://xicw.hypermart.net

Sunday, June 9 was the XICW Xtreme Heatwave 2 at Hot Rocks Café in Warren, Michigan.

(XICW Light heavyweight Champion) Keith Kreme beat Jimmy Jacobs.

Danny Daniels & "Amazing" N8 Mattson beat "The Future" Chris Sabin & Truth Martini for the XICW Tag Team Titles when N8 pinned Sabin.

Kamikaze (with "Handsome" Johnny Bradford as his new manager)beat The Xecutioner.

Jimmy Jacobs beat Shawn Hunter.

Security Guard Mike pinned Levi Blue (formerly the masked, Ooga Booga) after another man dressed as Ooga Booga (possibly Roughhouse Rob) distracted Levi.

Frankie The Face (with "Handsome" Johnny Bradford) beat Gutter (with Cindy).

(XICW Heavyweight Champion) Yukon Braxton was not at the event. So they had a #1 contenders match. Mr. Insanity beat Mr. Meaner after he dropkicked Meaner through a table outside the ring and then did a Splash off the ring apron onto him.

The main event saw the XICW Hardcore Title Match, a Dog-Collar Match between then champion, "Pitbull" Skull Ganz and "The Dangerous One" DBA end in a no-contest. Both men touched the 4th corner at the same time. And then Frankie The Face and Mr. Meaner came to the ring and attacked Insanity until Jaimy Coxxx and Mr. Insanity made the save. Then other wrestlers came out as well.

The next XICW show is Sunday, July 7 at Hot Rocks Café in Warren

In the main event, 12 wrestlers including "The Dangerous One" DBA, "Pitbull" Skull Ganz, Mr. Meaner, Roughhouse R.O.B., Frankie The Face (with "Handsome" Johnny Bradford) and others will battle in Bunkhouse Weapons Battle Royal for the XICW Hardcore Title.

Yukon Braxton defends the XICW Heavyweight Title against Mr. Insanity.

In a Triple Threat Match for the XICW Light heavyweight Title, Keith Creme faces Jaimy Coxxx and Jimmy Jacobs.

Partners banned from ringside, Chris Sabin faces "Amazing" N8 Mattson

Truth Martini faces Danny Daniels (same match that is happening in IWF).

IWR (Independent Wrestling Revolution) www.pwrhotline.com

Saturday, June 22 was the last IWR show at the IWR Coliseum inside Sunnybrook Golf& Bowl in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

With both men making their debut in IWR, Gutter (with Cindy) beat Maynard R. Neck.

Rip Malibu beat Frankie The Face.

Rusty Baddwrench beat "Ace" Rick Solid.

"One-Legged Wonder" Tenacious Z beat Kamikaze. After the match, Tenacious and Kamikaze made up and decided to form a tag team.

Jaimy Coxxx beat Truth Martini.

"Albanian Gigolo" Mark Gjoka (with Ica) beat CK3

Madman Pondo beat "Dynamic" Josh Movado (of the Bumpin’ Uglies)

Anthony Rivera beat (½ of the IWR Tag Team Champions) Jimmy Jacobs (with the other Tag Team Champion- "Amazing" N8 Mattson in his corner) when Truth Martini interfered and turned heel attacking Jacobs.

The former IWR Champion Yukon Braxton left the company and the #1 contender Elvis Elliot was not able to make the event, therefore the #2 and #3 contenders had a match to determine the new IWR Champion and Mr. Insanity beat Homeless Jimmy (formerly from California’s XPW)

to become the new IWR Champion.

Brimstone beat "Death Dealer" Tommy Starr to become the new IWR King of the Indies Champion.

The next IWR show will be Saturday, July 27 (the day after the IWF show in Hamtramck) at the IWR Coliseum inside Sunnybrook Golf & Bowl in Sterling Heights.

In the main event, Mr. Insanity will defend the IWR Heavyweight Title against the #1 contender, Elvis Elliot.

"Dynamic" Josh Movado will face "Madman" Pondo in a Thumbtack Match

Plus it looks like The IWR Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs & "Amazing" N8 Mattson will defend their titles against Anthony Rivera & Truth Martini.

Kamikaze & Tenacious Z will team up for the first time and Brimstone will defend his IWR King of the Indies Title.

IWR will be at the Warped Tour. Yes, for the Warped Tour show in Detroit, Michigan on August 18. The IWR will be putting on wrestling matches. These matches will be at the Troma stage at Warped Tour and they will have matches at 3 different times during the day. Each time, they will have approximately 30 minutes of wrestling.

Maximum Pro Wrestling www.Maxprowrestling.com

Sunday, July 14 Maximum Pro Wrestling will have it’s debut show at the Max Pro Arena which is at Livonia Mall in Livonia, Michigan .

They are going to have an 8-man tournament to crown the first ever Max Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion featuring Konnan, "The Cat" Ernest Miller, Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger, Breyer Wellington, Yukon Braxton, Larry Destiny, and "Pitbull" Skull Ganz.

"The Future" Chris Sabin, Stevie Lee, and Truth Martini are also on the card.

Chris Candido should be at the show as well.

Other Michigan indy wrestling shows include:

TZW (Thunder Zone Wrestling) which will be running shows at Wonderland Mall in Westland. Michigan on July 6 and July 13 and again on August 10th.

Also on July 28 NWA Great Lakes will be at the Oakland County Fairgrounds in Davisburg, Michigan. The Honkey Tonk Man will be there and he will face The Reaper.

Doink The Clown will face Big Chuck Wagon.

BWCW (Blue Water Championship Wrestling) will have a show at the Birchwood Sports Dome on August 30 th.

Finally, Michigan Championship Wrestling will have it’s next show at the IMA Sports Arena in Flint on Friday, August 2. They have mad such stars as Kevin Sullivan, Balls Mahoney, Rock’ N’ Roll Express, and even The Sandman. Whoever these shows aren’t all they are cracked up to be. I hear that a lot of the wrestlers that are promised are not at their shows and the matches are not very good, either. I haven’t heard that great of reviews about them even though they do seem to have a lot of big stars.

However, I don’t want to end on a bad note, so I would like to recommend everyone that can to check out the upcoming IWF show in Hamtramck on July 26 . IWF always puts on a great show. It is run by former ECW referee AT Huck. They have had such stars as Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, Steve Corino, Vampiro, Kevin Sullivan, Dylan Night (with Candi), Hido (from FMW in Japan), Rude Boy and the ICP (Insane Clown Posse).

Also, back when the IWF was known as ICW (Insane Championship Wrestling) they used to have Rhino (Rhyno), Edge, and Christian.

I am quite looking forward to their next show and hopefully when the show is released on DVD the promotion will get the exposure it deserves.
