I've been writing music for about as long as I can remember but the projects worth mentioning are Tearsome, The Rainchapter, and anything
I've been doing currently under the alias Todd Rocket. Tearsome was a punk-emo band that formed late 98, rocked out for about 6 months, and eventually broke up due to the lack of a stable drummer. The band consisted of myself, Paul Larson, Matt Cavanaugh , and whatever random drummer we decided to scrape off the streets during a given week. We played with bands
like the Pocketknife Gang (now East of Rutherford), Bound to Change, Solid State, and the Capgun Smokes (RIP). After Tearsome came Rainchapter, which
disbanded after being together for almost two years because of distance constraints. The Rainchapter consisted of myself, Matt Cavanaugh,
and Chrissy Parisi. Our sound was best described as a sweet mix between emo, new age, and classical music. We played with bands like God's Reflex, Solid State, and a lot of individual musicians who will remain anonymous for the sole reason that I don't feel like listing each of them. Releases by the Rainchapter include the distance factor lp, and the track "a liar in the dark," which can be found on "Midwest Music for Midwest People," a compilation on Flexco Records, both of which can be ordered through my e-mail address. For the past year or so, I've been writing solo music under the name Todd Rocket. My first release, the "can't a man sit on the tracks" ep is out now, and I am awaiting the release of a 3 way split, which will include myself, Unclaimed Baggage, and So far, and will be put out on Flexco Records. I am also scheduled to appear on a few complilations in the near future. Recently, my solo efforts have become a collective with new members Philip Andreas and Vince Chandler. Our individual styles and sounds have been combined to make Todd Rocket and the Get Well Soons, my latest project. Currently we are practicing a lot and writing new material so that we can release a full length this upcoming summer.
