Chapter of The World Can't Wait Organization Fundraiser
Karen Hobson Karen has roots in Richmond, Virginia, where she was born just in time to be a huge Beatles fan. Her musical experience ranges from choral music (particularly a production of Carmina Burana at Ohio University) to classic rock on open stages and as a featured singer for a couple of local bands. On her day job as a clinical massage therapist (see www.elementalmassage.net), she listens to the peaceful strains of new age music; at night she likes to rock a little. John A. Bell John, aka HoBoDuJour, is an Ohio native, who returned to Columbus in 2000 after living in Tennessee for seven years. He is the principal songwriter and guitarist of the group CityFolk, central Ohio's premiere original acoustic folk and country music act. John taught himself to play guitar and piano when he was eight years old. He is very active in Golden Retriever Rescue and other companion animal rescue groups and he is a big fan of NASCAR and EPL Soccer. Sergio Pabon Sergio hails from Colombia and plays bass like a man possessed. He loves punk rock. Check out his iPod. When you see him, ask him if he has any issues. Mike Buchanon Mike has played a little bit of everything in his time. Currently, he focuses on playing the field and drums, of course. We have posted his photo now that we have been assured the investigation by the Department of Homeland Security has concluded and he has been cleared. Donald B. Gibson Donald has played in a bunch of bands you've probably never heard of such as Subway Conspiracy and The Left Nutz. So why mention them here? He doesn't even wish to remember the Bipolar Jane gig. Who can blame him? At some point, Donald hooked up with Jim the Bearded One to become the acoustic madmen known as The Ben Lyde Two which actually beat out some heavy metal groups to win a local battle of the bands competition. TOEspeak was born shortly thereafter but quickly crashed. Rising from the ashes of TOEspeak comes The Homeless Gnomes. Donald eats, sleeps, and drinks music and sincerely wishes there were more peace and love in the world. Donald plays mandolin, banjo, guitar, and percussion in CityFolk (featuring Jennifer Tonapi and John A. Bell).
