A fat man with a beard is proudly displaying a Magic Card. He is sure to hold it only on the edges so no damage is done to the card. I wonder what kind it is...? It must be a good one, probably has something to do with the power of trees and the numbered possibility of getting attacked by a Dwarf. Oh wait, he is showing off another one, this time to a girl.. I believe the new card is better than the last because it's enclosed in a protective plastic case. Upon further inspection I've noticed that he has a pile of them in his hand, he must be quite the avid Magic Card player. OK, actually, this situation is worse off than I had previously thought, he has brought with him to school an entire box of Magic Cards. The box is about 12-15 inches long and probably holds about 700 cards. I've been watching this situation for a while now and I've discovered that the people he is sitting with also have Magic Cards, they must all be collectors. The bearded man is reading the back of the card now, much to the approval of the other players....
....OK, I decided to walk by their table to inspect what's going on and I've never seen anything quite like it in a public place, let alone an educational institution. There are seven people crowded around two tables and each one of them has an entire box of cards, equal in size to the aforementioned box. Each one of them is extremely enthusiastic about their hobby, they take it seriously, and they all want to grow up to be Orc with a Fire Power rating of +17.
All the power to you guys.
- On a slightly unrelated note; The girl I was talking about earlier happens to be a guy with long hair. Who was I to think that there'd be a girl sitting at that table? -
The 'Group of Seven', I've noticed, are quite protective of and cautious with their Magic Cards. Two people came to the table to see what was going on and immediately the group began putting away and cards and acting as if they were already about to leave. Oh wait, I believe the two newcomers are also Magic enthusiasts, as they've started a conversation and the 'Seven' have brought their cards back out, to the utmost delight of the newcomers. The group shall herein be referred to as the 'Group of Nine'.
