Peter is an extraordinary British musician, creating unique, frequently unconventional and often quite challenging and stimulating art that has earned him a loyal cult-like fan following all over the world, and which has inspired and influenced many people. A few of the people he’s been noted to inspire have since gone on to become successful, well-known artists that have made quite a name for themselves in the music and entertainment world (such as David Bowie).
In this story, he is also a faerie, who hails from the Isle of Avalon. He possesses many strong, sometimes frightening magical powers that he uses quite liberally and frequently, and which often end up landing him in some trouble and causing a great deal of mischief. Sometimes (okay, frequently) affecting (and often disrupting) the lives of others. He can shift and alter his physical appearance in whichever way he pleases at will, sometimes rather dramatically, but most of the time he prefers to stick with the form which most closely and accurately reflects his faerie nature, the form which is most suited to him. His true faerie form, such as he appeared during the early days of his career when he was still with the band Genesis, as its leader singer and chief songwriter (/all-purpose fruitcake and resident freak-job).
He is known to be a rather randy bloke (now there’s something of an understatement!), at least in the context of this story, and has had many lovers over the years of both sexes, though most of his lovers have been men as he finds he prefers them, especially in bed. He still to this day has many lovers practically at his beck and call, who he often will summon up or try to do things to from afar using a combination of magic and psychic powers he both strongly possesses. Sometimes he will do this with the aid of a special (very special) “scrapbook” of sorts he has put together of photos of the many objects of his desire.
He is responsible for impregnating rocker Tom Petty, which occasionally proves possible for certain types of faerie to do to men when the moon is on the right phase at the right time of the year, with the right kind of climate, aided by a certain type of mushroom which retains high magical properties. Such as was the case on that fateful night when flower-faerie Peter engaged in a particularly satisfying liaison with his lover Tom, after Tom sampled some of his “special mushrooms.” Since then he’s been living with Bob and Tom in the home which they purchased together, helping tend to the feeding, raising and general all-around care of his half-human, half-faerie son. A creature who quickly is proving to be quite the handful, taking largely after his biological faerie father in his strong mischievous tendencies and possession of inherited developing magical abilities, which he is known to make use of in rather irresponsible and trouble-causing ways. As can only be expected with someone of his age and of his nature.
(In this story) He is not currently married and has two previous children, Anna-Marie and Melanie, both grown adults now, with his ex-wife Jill, who he divorced in 1987 (that part is true).
